You weren't happy when Douma came home with a silly grin on his face, as if to tell you that he was somewhere with Muzan trying to get an information out of you. You don't even know what information he was trying to get, but of course. There was one thing to even consider as to why.

So he could destroy the demon slayer corps in one blow.

"Hashira-dono" Douma called you, though he doesn't really call you that before. So you were now wondering why.

Your gaze hardened at this in alarm, was something going to happen that you're unaware of? Is that the reason why Douma has been kind to even teach you the basics of living as a demon?

"What are you on about?" His grin made you feel sick now, you might be overreacting things but if he's suddenly calling you out of your title then something must've been up.

Douma simply chuckled at your reaction as he was starting to like how worked up you are because of him, the way you moved a safe distance away from him says a lot. He was getting into you, which was what he was trying to do. His eyes looked at you in amusement, like you were some dear that is hunted by a predator.

You didn't understand Douma, you couldn't understand him at all.

"Relax sweet Lotus" he waved your tensed form off as if to tell you that you're safe "I came here for an important news."

"How important is that?" you asked him in an alarmed tone, you didn't even bother hiding it since it was no use if you did.

He approached you once again, and this time you didn't move from your place as you wait for him to stop his tracks once he's face to face with you. Douma simply grinned at you once more, to mock your known fear. That even if you tried to be tough in front of him, you were still scared that he might do something to bring chaos.

Knowing how demons work, Douma would do the same thing. It doesn't matter if you're sheltered by him or if he actually cares about you, because if Muzan orders him to do something about you. Then he'd gladly accept it for the sake of his master's satisfaction.

What more was left to this man?

Nothing but his submissiveness towards his superior.

"I simply wanted to ask something regarding you background" he chirped.

Your brows furrowed at his curiosity once again "Pardon me?"

"Oh I know you heard me" Douma chuckled "He suddenly wants to get an information from you, and I do not understand as to why."

His right hand found its way to cup your little face, eyes checking your features before he moved closer to you.

"I do not understand" he repeated "I really don't."

But before you could say something, he pulled his hand away from you and turn around without even bothering to say another word. He wanted nothing to do with you and that was it for the meantime, he just wanted to get a reaction from you.

That ass.

You couldn't understand how Douma tries to get on your nerves most of the time, knowing all too well that you'd do anything just to behead him if you had the opportunity to. But he was very good at hiding his true intentions. Even if you were a pillar, you can't read his expression. Douma was always smiling after all, which means that you can't figure him out.

And his eyes, they're always filled with mischief no matter what you try to get him out of. Douma was never the one to show distress and frustration, which gave you a hard time considering being in his place for quite some time now.

You have to know what's going on before it's too late.

"Bastard" Sanemi grumbled as he stopped in his tracks, his gaze wandered around the area to see any signs of you.

The others simply looked down on the ground without trying to talk to him, they were all skeptical. Especially Shinobu who has been eyeing the area earlier as they searched for you, no one has come this far asked the pillars themselves. But of course it was expected, they were the strongest and the front lines. So of course they'd be the one searching for you day and night.

But one thing the insect pillar noticed was the absence of trails, well it was expected considering how you've been gone for days. It's either you're completely gone or you're out there, turned into a demon.

Where are you?

Her eyes looked around the area, refusing to even give up on you despite how much she tried to tell herself that you're already gone. You weren't here somewhere, so where the fuck were you?

"This is no use" Iguro suddenly announced.

The others looked at him in annoyance due to his sudden comment about the situation.

It's true that there wasn't anything that they could do at the moment, that you weren't going to be found sooner or later so they have to do something in order to find you soon before the enemy does. Which Shinobu find it odd.

Because either you got devoured by an uppermoon, or you got turned into one of them.

The other option of you dead out here in the forest was already debunked due to the fact that your body isn't found anywhere around the forest decaying like she expected to find, Shinobu lifts her head up to glance at Iguro with a calm smile.

"We only have two options now actually" she announced to the group which made them pay attention to you, except for the serpent pillar who scoffed and looked away.

"It's possible that she's either devoured, or she became a demon like them."

Silence greeted the insect pillar just as expected, they were hoping to see you in good shape. Iguro though on the other hand surprisingly kept his snarky comments all to himself and kept silent throughout the discussion.

"It's impossible that she lived knowing her capacity" Shinobu pointed out in which some painfully agreed with "She may be fast but she isn't strong enough to defeat an uppermoon by herself, that's why Iguro-san and her is always paired up in missions."

If she was bitter enough, she'd actually blame Iguro for what's happening.

"If only we could look for her deeper into the woods, just to see if there's any unknown traces. Look for signs, anything that could lead us to her."

"If we don't find anything, then we can conclude her death in the hands of those disgusting demons."
