Obanai didn't answer her question as Mitsuri's tearful gaze met his worried ones as she is being carried, her heart felt heavy for you. That a demon set his goal on hurting them because you felt pain, it was what she believed. Mitsuri believed that the lotus Douma was talking about was you, it's so obvious for her. Even if you never really told your true feelings for Obanai to her, she was fully aware of it and felt bad that you had to endure such treatment from him.

It's all.. my fault.

As Iguro finally found the other pillars, he quickly made his way towards Shinobu who quickly approached him to aid Kanroji. Sanemi and Giyuu were left shocked at the state of their co-pillars, Obanai was filled with scratches and Kanroji dealt with a lot of injuries which looked so concerning.

"What happened?" Shinobu ask with a hint of urgency in her tone, it was a good thing that she has prepared for this type of things. But of course, it's her job.

Iguro kept his gaze over the love pillar worriedly as he placed her on the ground so Shinobu can do her work "We saw [Last Name] earlier, she's alive."

"She's what?"

Giyuu's gaze narrowed at the serpent pillar in alarm as he mentioned that you're alive, he couldn't believe that you actually were. Because if it was true then where are you now? Why aren't you with them? Did they lost you once more? Is this the reason why Iguro and Kanroji ate injured?

"We found her" he continued "Kanroji and her talked, she couldn't come with us. She's a demon already."

Shinobu froze in her spot upon hearing the news, Sanemi and Giyuu reacted the same way as her. They were shocked to hear that you're alive, only to be a demon.

The insect pillar's gaze look down at the suffering Kanroji in her care, fearing that this might be your doing. Even if the both of you talked, could it be that you're brainwashed? Things are possible now, and considering that you're a former pillar. You might be one of the strongest demons out there, and maybe even the swiftest of all.

As if reading her thoughts. Shinazugawa found himself asking the worst possibility they could thing of:

"Is she the one who did this to the two of you?"

The three of them feared that Obanai might agree to them, they anticipated for his answer so much that they forgot about the other pillars' existence who just arrived now looking confused as to why Sanemi, Giyuu, and Shinobu looked fearful while Mitsuri lay unconscious on the ground being aided. Obanai looked like he's been grieving and the atmosphere has been uncomfortable ever since then.

Rengoku was quick to chime in with his usual bright approach, despite his confusion of he situation. He beckoned Tengen, Gyoumei, and Muichiro to join him so that they could discuss whatever was going on with the other pillars.

"Kanroji-san is badly injured" Rengoku stated the painfully obvious part as he took notice of the love pillar's injuries "What happened when we were out?"

Shinobu finally placed the last bandage over Mitsuri's arm with a clean end "They found [First Name], the only problem is that she became a demon."

And just like earlier, the others looked shocked to even hear the news of actually finding you but a demon had them stand firm with a fearful look. They had the same question lingering in their mind while looking at Mitsuri and Iguro's condition.

Were you the one who inflicted these injuries to them?

"Did you.. Did you decapitate her?" It was a painful thing to hear from the flame pillar, as much as he likes your presence. If you were the one responsible for this damage, then he has no choice but to be brutal about it.

Obanai's eyes close as he shook his head, indicating that he didn't decapitate you nor did anything to harm you.

"She didn't do anything, Kanroji had a talk with her. We are fortunate enough to know that she still remembers her life as a mortal" he informed "None of this is her doing. In fact, we faced an uppermoon instead minutes after she left."

They stayed silent for a while, relieved that you remembered all of them and didn't hurt Iguro or Mitsuri. But the only thing that had them looking confused is because if you did remember your life as a human, then why didn't you come with them? Why did you leave?

"She didn't even come with you?" it was now Tengen who asked as he brought himself to carry Mitsuri while Shinobu worked on Obanai's injuries.

Obanai shook his head, a soft hiss leaving his lips after feeling the ointment's effect on his wounds.

"She didn't want to, as she said that she didn't want to put the corpse in danger. She told Mitsuri that she'd come back one day, but not now."

That was deep, why didn't you want to come back already? What danger could you even cause when you have your memories intact? What could go wrong?

Obanai realized something when he relayed your words from earlier, you didn't want to put them in danger. Then an uppermoon demon found himself suddenly blasting shards at him and Mitsuri which gave them a lot of injuries, that uppermoon also had a talk about his lotus. And how one of them blatantly ruined that lotus' life, was it you that demon was talking about earlier?

Of course it was you, who else could it be? He doesn't know anyone outside the demon slayer corpse, maybe some random villagers that be saved on a nightly basis. Aside from that, there is none that he could think of but you.

You were the only one he mistreated throughout the years, you were the only one he despised and Iguro made sure that you knew of that sickening feeling. Now if it were someone else then he has to look out for potential enemies.

"And what danger could she even bring us?" Shinazugawa asked once more, feeling confused.

Even Iguro himself couldn't answer that question as he doesn't know, he only shook his head at this. Feeling tired after everything that happened to them earlier.

The others noticed his change of demeanor and decided to go back to their respective estates, Kanroji on the other hand is being carried by Tengen. She'll be staying in the butterfly estate for a while due to her injuries, hopefully she'll have a fast recovery. For now, they needed rest. He needed rest.

Obanai found himself bidding goodbye with the other pillars so he could head back home, Rengoku and Tomioka walked together along with Tokito and Shinazugawa. Kochou and Tengen went together with Mitsuri on the sound pillar's hold, while Gyoumei walked back on his own as he said that he had to go to another mission.

He was left all alone there to walk back to his estate, his mind filled with heavy thoughts.
