(Freed POV)
I walked down the streets of Magnolia back from a mission with the rest of the thunder legion. Bickslow and Evergreen were bickering about how the money should be split, even though like always it would end up being even. The mid-day sun was high in the sky, scorching the streets of magnolia, many shops had closed do to the extreme heat but it didn't bother me. I had cast a rune on myself and the others so we would not over heat.
"I want 40 percent" Evergreen says for the forth time and opening her fan.
"No, we spilt it evenly!" Bickslow says his dolls quickly add
"Split evenly"
"But...!" Ever had started to squeal.
"No, it will be evenly, stop complaining." Laxus said causing the argument to stop. I sighed in relief.
The streets were full of busy people rushing back and forth past us, some nodding or acknowledging us in some form. We had quickly surpassed twilight ogre in the ranks. People no longer laughed or sneered at us, we were widely known and accepted.
"So Evergreen are you reddy to see Elfman again?" I herd Bickslow say from behind me. I smirked and turned around to see her face.
"Why would I care about that dult?!" Ever said with her face hiding behind her fan.
"Well you do Ɩơ۷ɛ him" Bickslow said being slow and articulate during the word love.
"Love love love" His dolls repeated. Evergreens face, although hidden by her fan, was clearly grief stricken.
"N- no I d- don't...!" she said and slapped Bickslow square on the cheek.
I kept my head down and laughed silently. Although she would never admit it she was clearly falling for Elfman. Everyone in the thunder legion had someone they had fallen for. Other than me... Laxus's long time girlfriend was mirajane Strauss, Evergreen and Elfman had been 'secretly' seeing eachother, and Bickslow is crushing on Lazana. I hadn't even thought about anyone I might be interested in. No women in the guild interested me very much. They are all very kind, but they are just friends and guild mates. And most of them don't pay much attention to me. Also most of them are frankly to reviling, I prefer women who are down to earth in their actions and their dress. When we arrived at the guild I came out of my thoughts and pushed the doors open and we walked in.
"Welcome back" Mira said as we walked in. She walked around the counter and gave Laxus a hug and kiss on the cheek. Laxus smiled and swung her in a circle. Before they had started dateing I never saw Laxus this happy, But now he is always smiling and laughing.
I stood at the door looking over all the guild smiling. The various teams sitting together.
I felt somthing brush through my legs, it was a small white rodent. Then someone bumped into my shoulder. I tripped and landed on my hands.
