Chapter 24

Freed (POV)

"I'm going to murder Bixslow when I get back form this mission!" I say to myself through my grinding teeth. I walk in quick long strides, each burning with anger and fear. I have to keep my composure around just her for a few days. I don't know if I can...

"FREED! Wait up!!" I hear her yell. I turn around and see her flying forward. She lands a few feet away and try's to stop but proceeds to skid toward me. I grab her, and she comes to a stop.

"S-sorry... " She says looking up at me with her big blue doe eyes. 

"It's fine." I sigh looking down at her. "This is our train." I say letting her go and walking to the vehicle.

"Oh wow... ok..." She looks at it. "Iv never ridden a train before..." She says her hand griping the ticket tighter.

"Really never?" I ask looking at her. She shakes her head at me. We get onto the train and take our seats. She sits next to me although the seat across from us was open. Why dose she have to make this so hard!

"Umm freed..." She says quietly. I turn to her.

"Yes?" I reply.

"Umm their are a lot of people..." She says. I look at her slightly confused.

"Well yes..." I say to her. Her head turns to look at me her face white as a sheet. Oh No! I forgot she was afraid of large groups of people! On top of that the train my not be good ether because it is so foreign! I take her hand in mine and give it a small squeeze.

"It's ok..." I say my voice soft and calm. She looks at my hand over her's her face turns red. I realize the same thing and turn the same shade of red.

We both stop talking but she doesn't let go of my hand. The train starts and she launches forward off the seat.

"EEP!" She squeals as she falls. I help her back onto the seat.

"What happened? are you ok?!" I ask looking her over chuckling.

"I'm... I'm fine I just didn't expect the jolt. I'm ok now." She said she blushes madly.  "Th-thank you." She says and looks at her shoes. I still hold tightly onto her hand.

As the night approaches we get closer to Okinawa. I didn't realize is but Sophia fell asleep. I smile down at her sleeping form. She looked sweet.

Wait SHOOT! No no no! I can't do this not now! Not when I'm alone with her for this long!Laxus can't help me! What do I do?! She moves. I freeze. She turns over in her sleep and falls into my shoulder. A small smile crosses her face. Dammit! She looks so cute sleeping! Now my mind was completely filled with only her. A strong rush of blood floods my face. No! This can't... Erg no!

I listen to her soft rhythmic breathing, and watch the county pass us by. The moon was now high in the sky and it was dark, the train had left so late... I think to myself. We should be their early in the morning...

"I should get some sleep..." I mumble to myself. I yawn and lean back a little bit, blinking slowly. My eyes close and I drift into a peaceful sleep, her hand still in mine.
