Stuck in Runes

Chapter 9

(Freed POV)
I watched her from my table with the rest of the thunder legion.
"What a change of events." I heard someone say.
"I can't believe that shy little girl is a dragon slayer..." I heard some one else's say.
"I bet it's just air magic and she's faking it." Another voice said.
"Real or not, she is pretty cute, and a strong Mage, I wonder if she is single." I heard the first voice say, I clenched my fists at that.
"Freed? You ok? Your fists are white..." Evergreen said, I relieved my hands.
"Yes, fine." I said through clenched teeth.
"She's pretty amazing, for how new she is, to using her magic against people, huh?" Bickslow said. Laxus nodded and looked at the table. He was pouting because master and Mira both took Sophia's side on the dragging incident. And although we both would never admit it, it was me who punched and gave him the black eye. He knows how honor bound I am. I was mortified that he hurt her just so she would say sorry, especially with the fact that she was already extremely apologetic. He did nothing after I punched him, but we have done that before, when one of us does something stupid the other informs them. It's normally me using words to him. But I had so much pent up anger because of it, it caused me to punch him.
"So what do you think about her, Freed?" I heard Bickslow say, I had missed his, Ever's, and Laxus's conversation on Sophia.
"Well, first off, her name is Sophia. And second she is a very talented mage, having the ability of various dragon powers, runes, and any other power she may have. She also seems to be smart, witch is probably why her runes work so well. Although I have seen instances where mages have learned more than one magic, such as when Natsu and Happy learned transformation magic, I have never seen them so talented at both. She seems to be a a high level at both magics I have seen her use, and again as I said she may have more magic she can use. So all in all, I am fascinated to see if she will stay and how she will progress in her magical abilities." I finish my short monolog and look back at the bar. She seemed to be laughing, I looked back at my teammates who were all watching me.
"I wonder if when she joins, if she will join a team..." Ever said pulling out her fan. " I would love another girl to join us."
"I don't know if she would want to with what happened..." Laxus said getting up from the table and sitting down at a different empty one. It was clear he felt bad.
"I'm going to go get something to drink." I say to my freinds as I get up and walk to the bar.
"Tea please, Mira" I say over the counter and sit in one of the stools. I look down the row, she had left. I sighed and drank the tea Mira had set down.
"Freed, you're wanted in the back room!" I hear Cana yell, slurring her words.
"Very well" I set down my tea and walk to the back to find master and Sophia.
"Master, miss Sophia" I bow to them both. I saw her face turn pink.
"Freed, good, I want you to help sophia create a rune to trap him in." Master said pulling at his mustache.
"Yes, master." I walk over to where sophia was using a paint brush to cast a rune. It was a barrier spell, causing magic to be helpless, and a prison cell as well. I pull out my sword and add to it. We were done in about 10 minutes. During that time master had left.
"Thank you." She said wiping her brow. I nodded and watched as she pulled him out of her bag and put him in the cage we had created.
"Might I asked were you learned rune magic?" I ask her when she was done.
"My mother, the dragon Artuna, gave me books on it, I taught myself." she said I nodded.
"Is their any other magic you know, other than your dragon slayer magic?" I ask her.
"Umm yes, I can do most air magic, it goes hand in hand with my dragon magic so I taught myself how to do that as well." She smiled. She was cute when she smiled.
"You are truly are impressive." I say, her face turned beet red.
"Thank you" she says looking at the ground. She was very shy, even if it was just around me.
