He pulls out my seat for for me. Both are faces glow a light pink. He walks around the table taking his seat. I look at our plates. I still had about half a bowl and He had only taken a few bites. He greedily shovels some into his mouth.
"I was incredibly hungry in all honesty. " he smiles softly. I giggle.
"I could tell." I smile taking a large bite of my own. This was almost as good as mother would make! I forgot how good food was! I hadn't been eating much good food. I hope this didn't cost too much... I pull out a small book and flip past some doodles I had done.
"How much was the meal?" He asks cocking my head. He looks at my slightly confused. Then laughs.
"Don't worry about it. It's not a big deal." Startled by his outward laughter and casual responds I lean back in my chair slightly.
"A-are you sure?" I ask him, my eyes persistent. He looked at me the softly.
"Tell you what, this is my welcome to the guild celebration with you. How's that?" He smiles holding up his water jug. I nod accepting his terms. I lift my mug and cheers with him. We both smile and laugh.
"What were those?" He asks looking at the book I had clutching in my hand.
"What were what?" I ask him lifting an eyebrow.
"The drawings in that book. Are they yours?" He asks me. I nod shyly.
"You can look at them if you want to... they are just doodles." I hold out the book. He takes it out of my hands softly. Leafing through the pages him face smiling at each one.
"These are lovey! I didn't know you did this." He smiles. I smile.
"Ya I like to doodle on my free time..." I tuck a lock of hair behind my ear. He looks so sweet. Ugh... I want to keep eating but looking at him makes me stomach feel weird. And my face hot! This sucks! I look at the bowl in front of me.
"Well you have something to fall back on if you ever can't be a wizard." He smiles handing the book back to me. I take it putting it in my bag. My cheeks flush when I graze his his finger.
"I'm... full... I'm sorry I can't eat anymore." I look up at him clutching my stomach.
"That's fine. I finished mine. If you want we can pack it up?" He asks standing offering me his hand. I shake my head.
"I don't want to be a burden." I take his hand standing.
"It's no trouble really." The older woman come over saying. She raps up the leftover food in a small bag. Handing it to Me. I bow thanking her.
"It is not problem child, just take good care for my freed-y." She smiles up at me and shuffles away. I blush and look up at him. He is covering his also red face with his hand. I giggle softly and put the food in my bag.
"So... the assumed next houses then?" I ask softly, he seemed to be plucked out of thought by my words.
"Oh yes!" He smiles. "Let's check them out."
I nod. Ready to find my next assassin.
