Chapter 48

Sophia POV

...
-internal screaming intensifies-

My face it redder than a over ripe cherry, and I'm sure my eyes as wide as dinner plates. He kissed my hand again... and gave me his jacket implying I sleep with it... and he almost kissed me...

Still stunned, I turn around and see Mira standing their with a goofy grin on her face.

"Two things!" She squeaks. "One! That was really super cute and we will talk about that later. And two! You finished your first ever fairy tail job! CONGRATS!" She squeals running over to me giving me a hug. My body still pretty tense and in shock relaxes and I rap my arms around her as well.

I didn't really think about it but ya... that was my first guild job... how strange...

Mira takes my hand and pulls me into the guild with her.

"HEY EVERYONE THE GIRL KIDNAPPER WAS TAKEN DOWN MY SOPHIA AND FREED AND IT WAS HER FIRST JOB!" Mira yells, quickly gaining most of the guilds attention. A large hurray explodes from the crowd. As Mira drags me to the bar I get congratulated, good job-ed, and pats on the back from many people I didn't really know.

"Dinner on the house for your first mission!" She smiles warmly. I take the plate she offers and eat quickly not realizing how hungry I was.

"This is fantastic!" I smile swallowing a large bite.

"I'm glad you think so! Master had been talking with an old friend through letters and they are going to come up and cook for us a few days a week! Him and his wife live over in Okinawa, they cooked food tonight for everyone."

"That's wonderful! I'm sure they are great people!" I smile. I finish my plate just in time to be tackled by a tiny white bunny, who changes quickly into a mink.

"MINA!" I squeal rapping my arms around the furry creature. "I missed you baby! I'm sorry I left you it wasn't safe though! Your getting old I don't want you to hurt yourself!" I say nuzzling her snout. She squeaks happily rubbing against my face.

"Welcome home cousin!" I hear a familiar voice sing. I sit up to see Wendy standing at my feet, I get up rapping my arms around her tiny form.

"Thanks Wendy!" I giggles. "And thank you for taking care of Mina! She wasn't too much was she?" I ask, pulling myself back into a care stool.

"No not at all!  A total dream!" She giggles joyfully.

"That's good! She can be a stinker sometimes." I smile petting the small creature who had made her way into my lap.

"Well she wasn't at all! So tell me about your mission! How was it?" She asks excitedly, Mira hearing this also makes her way over.

"I also want to hear this! But! Drinks first anyone?" She offers.

"Oh! Water please!" Wendy smiles.

"Tea, If you have any ready?" I ask, she nods coming back a moment later with the two in her hands. She hands Wendy hers and puts mine down next to me. She hops over the bar and takes her apron off pulling up a stool to sit next to the two of us. I turn to grab my cup when I hear Wendy gasp ever so slightly. I turn quickly to her.

"What's wrong?" I ask cocking my head.

"Do um.. you want that heal... or do you want to keep.. but It's a little visible... I didn't think that..." she stammers her face getting red.

I look at her confused, trying to think when Mira pulls my face to face her.

"Wow! That's a big hikey. I didn't think Freed was that kind of guy to go for such a visible mark when you haven't been together all that long." She states, gaining stares and whispers from people around us

I realize. The bruise is what they are looking at. But wait what's...

"Um... the bruise? Is from falling on the train. What's a hikey?" I ask confused. Wendy let's loose a little chuckle, Mira puts a hand over her heart and leans forward whispering the response into my ear, only causing my face to flush.

"N-NO! I DIDNT! HE DIDNT!" I take a panicked breath. "I don't ride trains so when the train started I fell out of my seat and I didn't want to brake my nose to I turned my head and I hit my neck on the metal bit of the seat making it bruise I didn't do anything like!!!" I clear my throat panting ever so slightly in my panic. Wendy leans forward healing the bruise.

"That makes a lot more sense..." Wendy giggles.

"And freed and I are not together!" I add.

"Heck ya! I get to pick the movie next movie night with Laxus instead of him!" Mira giggles evilly. Ignoring that I turn back to Wendy who starts to talk.

"I like your necklace it's pretty. Did you always have it on I didn't notice it." She says reaching forward and touching the stone.

"Oh no actually. Freed got it for me! As a welcome to the guild gift!" I smile warmly touching the small rock.

Mira proceeds to put her cup down on the bar and hopping up. "Do you know where your staying tonight?" She asks me bluntly.

"Well... no... I was" I start before my arm is grabbed.

"Great Laxus is going to be at Freed's so your sleeping over at mine, come on. Now." She says dragging me behind her, causing the sleeping mink in my lap to crawl into my bag. Wendy laughs waving as I am aggressively pulled out the door.

After finally managing to pull free from Mira's grasp I float behind her. The night had cooled off significantly. I pull on Freed's coat. It was warm, and it smells like eucalyptus, mint, and cedar wood. It's nice. We stop in front of a cute little house that was down a back road. She pulls out keys and unlocks the door ushering me into her home. It was well kept, large sofa sat in front of a fireplace and a small kitchen sat off to the right. An open door in the back leads to a hallway with three doors leading off two on one side one to the other. "Bedrooms are back there as well as the bathroom. Feel free to eat anything in the house, or use whatever you need. If you need help finding anything just ask I'm happy to help!" She smiles sweetly.

I nod looking around before being pushed onto the couch, her sitting in front of me, grinning.

"So?! Details?! Explain what went down and how you ended up with this necklace!" She's pries. Knowing I very well had no way out I start from the top, when we got on the first train. Mina pushing out from inside my bag wobbles between us curling up, this was surely going to take a while.

So I should continue to update normally, but if recently started working full time. So I don't have as much time to draw, in turn meaning not all chapters may come with drawings. I will try to and something to them if I can, but i want to make sure the weighting comes out well on the chapter before a drawing, and I'm in an office and busy all week, so that leaves just nights to work, and ya. So sorry but I will keep trying my best! :3
