Chapter 40/41

( Author: This is a longer chapter with dual POV, but didn't make a lot of sense apart so "double chapter")
(Sophia POV)
I look around and see freed sitting with a cup of tea at the only table outside. I walk out the doors, imminently I'm greeted by a gust of fresh air, it felt nice. Clean.
I walk across the small patio and pull out a chair, witch also seemed to pull freed out of thought. He looks up at me, quizzically at first, but his expression changes into a soft smile.

"Good morning" He nods to me as I sit down.

"Morning!" I reply cheerfully, a cup sits upside down in front of me a warm teapot sits there as well, freed flips the cup lifting the teapot.

"I hope you don't mind rose-hip tea?" He says filling the cup, I shake my head.

"No! That sounds lovely!" I say taking the cup from his hands and sipping the warm liquid. It felt nice to have something warm, it felt comforting. Freed has a light gray button up shirt on as well had black pants and his boots. I pull his coat from the straps of my bag folding it and handing it to him. "You left this in my room" I smile, he takes it his face red.

"Th-thank you" he sets it on his luggage that sat on the ground next to him.

"So! You spent the night together! Oh good! I will keep a watch for the wedding invite! Or maybe you have it here! I mean this place should be very good and important to you too if you spend first night together here." Madam Moon proclaims walking over to our table with a tray of food, both freed and I's faces turn red.

"No! Nonononononononononoooooooo!" Freed holds up his hands. "I just left her borrow it! It was cold!" He tries.

"No no no to you! I saw how late you come back! I saw you carrying her in! Dose she not know!? Did you make her drink too much and?!" She begins before rushing over to me taking my hand. "Do you feel ok? What do you remember from last night? What did he tell you?!" She starts, I look up and Freed looks like he is about to pass out.

I giggle into my hand. "Madam Moon, you know how we are wizards? Well last night we had a hard battle I got hurt and used magic to heal myself, but the magic used up my energy, so Freed carried my back and watched over me while I slept to make sure the healing worked." I say holding the woman's hands in mine, I pull up the edge of my shirt reviling a mesh square on my pants, witch in turn showed off the scar, it sat right under my guild mark. After deciding to join fairy tail, I sewed some things into a few pair of my pants, so I could show my guild mark if need be, and it just so happens the cut was close enough to my mark that you could see it in this pair. The mesh was a dark color, so most of the time you wouldn't even know it's there but I put it on buttons so it could be taken off. I unbutton the square of fabric showing the woman, who nodded thoughtfully.

"Thank goodness you both are ok, and that he didn't do anything. My heart would've broken if my little Freedy had done something to you, He is such a good boy though, I shouldn't have thought anything of it. I'm sorry, enjoy your meal." She says bowing, taking the tray, and shuffling back inside. I giggle softly looking over at freed as he lets out a long sigh.

"Thank you" He says his hands covering his red face. I look down, pastries, fresh fruits and veggies, and crepes sit before us.

"WOW!" I exclaim. It all looks great! I greedy snatch a tea cake taking a bite. "So Good!" I smile mouth full. Freed smiles warmly.

(POV CHANGE FREED)

"Glad you like it!" I smile, she looked adorably happy. I take a crepe folding it with my hands and biting into it. I watch her eat happily, occasionally she would say something random or one of us would comment on the food, but for the most part we sat quietly and ate. I was lost in thought though. I saw the scar when she showed Madam moon.

It wasn't too bad but... what is it was left because I did something wrong... and I mean... it's my fault in the first place she was hurt, i shouldn't have let her go alone... or I should have gone to her when the ship landed...

Her plan worked. We got the girls out safe. But what would have happened if I wasn't there. "Freed?" What would have happened if another wizard hadn't been able to save her. She could have been taken. "Freed?" Is this the first time something like this has happened? What if in the future she wasn't to do something like this soon again. "Freed?" What if she can't do it herself.

"FREED!" A voice brakes my thoughts, I jerk my eyes upward to greet sophia who is wearing a slightly panicked face. "What the heck was that?!" She questions her face flush. "Iv been saying your name for like two minutes!" She says losing some of the fire she had.

"Sorry! I got lost in thought! H-how is your leg" I ask looking down at the food on my plate picking up a strawberry and putting it in my mouth.

"It's fine, thanks to you no doubt, I'm glad use thought to use the cloth, the scar would have been worse if stitches had been added." She smiles thoughtfully putting butter on a roll in her hand.

"You mean... I didn't screw up!? I used it right?" I question

"No, in fact you did a great job, I'm impressed, without really knowing how it works you were able to heal me completely, and the scar left is probably one of my least noticeable." She smiles biting into the bread.

"You have more...?" I ask worry in my voice, I hadn't really notice or been looking I guess, but her arms and hands had faint marks all over them. I'm sure that little cloth has had a lot of use...

"Ya, but it's ok, they all have stories and most don't bother me too much..." she says trailing off toward the end, her eyes falling to her hand.

"Well is love to hear some of those stories some time, but we should head out and check on those we need to check on, them maybe we can be back at the guild for dinner." I smile, standing up, stretching, and honestly just trying to perk her up. She nods solemnly shoving the last of the bread she was eating into her mouth, hopping up.

(Author> Hello lovelies sorry for the mini brake, these past few days have been very busy with stuff, nothing bad, just insanely busy, I will be typing tonight so I'll have more chapotees to continue updating every few days- once a week! How are you all?
