I dropped my brother off home and Becket got into the front of the car.

"I have a team meeting planned for later." he said, trying to make conversation.

"Great." I said sarcastically "Is Neton coming? What about Clark?"

"Neton is. Clark isn't though... My dad banned him from the house so he couldn't even if I invited him." he replied.

I just nodded.

When you're angry, finding out the person you're angry at is coming to your house Is never fun.

We pulled onto Beckets drive and I jumped out of the car.

I locked it and the walked inside behind Becket.

"You ok?" asked Beckets Mum, Sandra.

"I'm great thanks Mum." said Becket before rolling his eyes.

"Believe it or not, I wasn't asking you. I've had enough of getting that answer. I was asking Kelly."

"I'm good thanks Sandra."

She nodded and left me and Becket alone in the kitchen.

"Just watch." Becket muttered "Dad'll be in in a minuet, trying to talk about something pointless..."

"Don't say that. At least your Dad talks to you." I said with a shrug.

"True." he said with a small laugh.

Becket's Dad, George, walked into the kitchen and sat on the breakfast bar.

"So Becket, how was training?" he asked.

"Just the usual I guess." he said with a shrug.

"How 'bout you Kelly?" he asked.

"oh, Ermm, it was good."

I was shocked that someone who wasn't on the football team, was asking me about football it just wasn't something I was used to.

He nodded and turned his attention to the news paper he had picked up.

"Come on." Said Becket "Let's go to my room to get sorted for the meeting."

We walked down the stairs into Beckets basement room.

"I've set you up a bed over there so if that alright." he said, unsure of exactly how to handle everything.

"It's perfect. I can't thank you enough."

I looked up at him and he looked into my eyes.

"Yeah," he said quickly looking away "why don't you go. And get yourself cleaned up before the meeting?"

"Good idea."

I walked into the bathroom where I had caught Shane. That idiot.

I took my clothes off and jumped in the shower, after locking the door.

It felt like the shower was cleaning me. Which it was obviously, but it felt like it could have washed all the bad things away.

Enough of Neton.

Enough of Shane.

Enough of Mum.

Enough of Dad.

It was all gone. I knew that from then, life would be different.

I hopped out and dried myself, before putting on my dressing gown and clean underwear that I had brought in with me.

I walked out and grabbed some clothes - yes, you guessed it. A bandeau and some shorts.

Becket wasn't around so I quickly chucked them on before he came back in.

He walked in the door as soon as I had done up my short, followed by the rest of the team. Without Shane, but with Neton.

I sat down on my bed and out my feet up.

"Hey peeps." I said tossing back my hair in a fake sexy way.

"Hey..." said George, hitting my legs out of the way and joining me in the bed. No, not like that!

"So I guess you all know what this meeting is about..." Becket said.

Wait, what?

"Ermm, no." I said.

And then I distinctly heard Neton mutter "Some Captain she is."

"Well, Coach Peters is back and he wanted me to hold this meeting. He said that we need to get to know each other again as a team." Becket explained.

"Most of the team already know each other." I said, putting an unprecedented amount of emphasis on the 'most' part.

"Exactly not all." he replied.

"BUT MOST! HOW MANY PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT THIS DICK ON OUR TEAM!" I shouted.

I was obviously referring to Neton.

My brother looked like he was about to say something but one strong look from me convinced him otherwise.

"EXACTLY!"

"Look," Becket began "Coach said-"

"Well Coach got it wrong. No one wants him other than Shane, and no be wants Shane other than him! Can't they both go!" I interrupted.

"Hey, you discuss that with Coach. Now, Captain, take over the bloody team meeting." Becket said.

Every one else had been unusually quite.

"I don't even know why she's captain..." mutted Neton.

"What was that Neton?" I asked.

"I. DON'T THINK. YOU. SHOULD. BE. CAPTAIN. OF THE BOYS FOOTBALL TEAM" he shouted, obviously thinking he could be louder than me.

"WELL I AM, SO SUCK IT UP DICK HEAD!" I shouted.

"NO ONE WANTS YOU! NOT EVEN YOUR OWN FAMILY WANT YOU!" he screamed.

I walked up to him slowly, cautiously. And without warning, slapped him round the face.

I ran to my car, not even realising it was pouring down.

I got in and the tears started to fall.

They were a continuous stream, never letting up, never stopping.

George walked up to the car and got in, to try and comfort me.

"Hey now, don't let him get you down." he said softly, hugging me at the same time.

"He... He.... Said..." I managed to choke out inbetween sobs.

"I know what he said. It's ok." George said, leaning in closer "I can make it all ok."

And then before I knew what was happening, he was kissing me. And I was kissing him back.

It was one of the best kisses I'd ever had and I enjoyed every second of it.

We broke apart.

Then went back for more.
