You could almost sing in relief when you close the door to your daughters room, finally getting her down for a nap after hours of chasing her around the house.
"I'd say you deserve a break," Steve murmurs in your ear, wrapping his arms around your waist and smiling crookedly at you.
"Yeah? What do you have in mind,"
He pulls you by the hand to your shared room and softly closes the door. "You'll find out soon,"
Steve plants his lips on your neck, making a trail of kisses up to your jaw bone. A moan slips past your teeth as he sucks lightly on your skin.
"May I remind you, our daughter is asleep," Steve chuckles lowly as you smack his arm.
He pushes you against the wall and connects his lips to yours. Your toes curl as he lightly runs a finger over your waist band.
"What if she hears us?" You mumble, leaning your head against the wall.
In response, Steve removes your shirt and smirks loosely. "Then you'd better be-"
"Mommy?"
Yours and Steve's eyes widen to the size of golfballs.
"Yes, Sweetie?" You peek your head over Steve's shoulder to smile down at your daughter.
Rubbing her eyes, she yawns. "What are you and daddy doing?"
Hurriedly, you slip on your shirt and walk over to her. "Nothing that concerns you," You say quietly, picking up your daughter and exiting the room. "Why don't you get some more sleep?"
She nods as you lower her into her bed and kiss her forehead.
"Mommy?"
You turn. "Yes?"
She smile toothily. "Why was daddy so pale? He looked like Caper," She said, pointing to the stuffed ghost on her floor.
"Daddy was just surprised, is all." You click off her light and close the door once again. You lean your head against the smooth surface and let out a breath.
"If that wasn't the most embarrassing thing to happen to me, then I don't know what was." Steve says from the door way of your room, crossing his arms tightly.
You smile teasingly. "Says the man who wears tights to fight crime,"
He scoffs dramatically. "At least I'm not the one who still wears Micky Mouse underwear,"
"Right, because a full grown man wearing Spider-Man socks isn't nearly as bad."
He narrows his eyes. "You're damn right,"
"What does damn mean?" A light voice asks.
You spin around and groan inwardly. "Nothing, Sweetie. Daddy and I were just talking."
Your daughter looks between the two of you and giggles. "Daddy looks like Casper again,"
