Third Person POV
Percy and Annabeth had finally reached Camp Half-Blood to see it being attacked by metal bulls. Percy heard that there was a border patrol and was confused because there wasn't one last year. 'Just what's going on' thought Percy.
"It's Clarisse," Annabeth said. "Come on, we have to help her."
They ran up the hill to enter the fight. Percy uncapped his pen, growing longer and heavier until he held a bronze sword in his hands, "Tyson, stay here. I don't want you taking any more chances."
"No!" Annabeth said. "We need him."
Percy stared at her. "He's mortal. He got lucky with the dodge balls but he can't—"
"Percy, do you know what those are up there? The Colchis bulls, made by Hephaestus himself. We can't fight them without Medea's Sunscreen SPF 50,000. We'll get burned to a crisp."
Percy wasn't hearing any of it though, he didn't want to put his friend in any more danger than he needed to be. He ran up the hill to join the fray, only to see Clarisse get sent back by one of the bulls. Percy pulled Clarrise out of the way just before the second bull could run him over and sliced a gash in its side. Percy moved Clarrise behind one of the pine trees before facing the bulls.
Bull Number One ran a wide arc, making its way back toward Percy. As it passed the middle of the hill, where the invisible boundary line should've kept it out, it slowed down a little, as if it were struggling against a strong wind; but then it broke through and kept coming. Bull Number Two turned to face him, fire sputtering from the gash he'd cut in its side. I couldn't tell if it felt any pain, but its ruby eyes seemed to glare at him as he'd just made things personal.
Percy knew he couldn't fight both bulls at the same time; he'd have to take down Bull Number Two first, cut its head off before Bull Number One charged back into range. His arms were already starting to feel tired though, it's been a long time since he had trained with Riptide.
Percy decided that now he was going to set his plan in motion. He lunged towards the bull but it blew flames at him, causing him to roll to the side. The air was suddenly drawn out of his lungs to feed the flames that passed by him. His foot caught on a tree root, twisting it as he fell. Still, Percy managed to slash a part of the bull's snout off. It stumbled away to regain its composure. Still, that left him dealing with bull number one. It started charging towards him as well as the second one. Annabeth let Tyson through the barrier to let him help Percy, Tyson was able to stop one of the bulls but the other one was still coming towards him. Before it could reach him however a loud shriek was heard tearing through the sky, before a blast hit the bull in the side, blowing out a big portion of the bull's side. Percy looked up to see what flew past. As he tracked it flying through the sky, he saw a black blur with someone on its back. He heard Annabeth run up beside him and say, "Is that Tamotsu?"
Percy shrugs his shoulders, "I can't tell. They're moving too fast."
Annabeth says, "Well it doesn't matter, all that matters is that they're on our side... for now."
Percy says, "Come on, we still have one bull to deal with."
They race over to Tyson, who is still in a grappling match with the bull. All of a sudden the bull shoots fire out of his mouth, engulfing him. Percy shouts, "Tyson!"
He goes to try and help his friend but Annabeth grabs his arm, "What are you doing?! Last time I checked you aren't fireproof."
Percy was about to reply when he heard a loud crash. He turned back around to see Tyson standing there, completely unscathed. Percy looked at Tyson with shock and surprise, Percy was 100 percent sure that Tyson was going to be toast. The three of them ran over to make sure Tyson was ok and as they reached him, they looked up to see a black dragon with his rider on top of the bull, clad in a black suit with scales all over. The dragon quickly blasts the bulls head before hopping off the bull. The rider gets off the dragon before walking over towards the group. He slowly reaches up and unclips the helmet. He takes it off to reveal the grinning face of Tamotsu, "Jeez, I come back and the place is in shambles."
