A couple of days have passed since coming back to camp. It's been nice having some time to relax. My training schedule was still pretty intense, but I had a lot more time to myself due to not having missions. Itachi gave me scrolls to work on mostly on fuinjutsu and taijutsu. He gave me scrolls on ninjutsu but only told me to work on them if I could do so without being seen. He gave me some scrolls on genjutsus to start to learn as well.

I spent most of my time working on my fuinjutsu. I need to be able to create new and stronger seals in order to protect camp. Luckily there haven't been any more attacks since the bulls, but that doesn't put me at ease. I need a more permanent way of being able to keep the monsters out.

Camp activities were fun more than anything. Since training with Itachi and Izumi, my skills have improved greatly, and that has shown greatly since returning here.

Flashback
I'm standing across Serena in the arena with my ninja pouches on and my sword on my back. I hear Serena say, "I've been waiting for this for a while now."

I grin at her, "You and me both. Let's see how strong we've got since last year."

She pulls out her sword and I grab a kunai. Our friends were sitting around the arena and Annabeth was going to start it, "Three! Two! One! Fight!"

I ran at her, quickly drawing two shuriken. Throwing one shuriken to the side, then throwing the second shuriken to deflect it towards her. Serena looked surprised at this and had to jump out of the way to dodge it. As she recovered, I was right in front of her. I stabbed at her chest and she blocked it just in time. She parries the knife away and I kick her in the side. She slides back and recovers. We circle around each other, both of us looking for an opening. She makes her move, running towards me. I threw two kunai at her. She blocks one of them but the other grazes her arm. She starts sendings strikes towards me. I weave through her strikes, sending some jabs at her when I can. She sends a strong overhead strike to me. I twirl a kunai into my hand and grab my sword, blocking the strike. I quickly twist the sword out of her hand. I jump over her, knocking her to the ground as I do so, and point my sword at the back of her neck. I pull down my mask, "Yield."

She doesn't say anything and I see her slowly reaching for her sword. I throw a shuriken with ninja wire at it, wrapping around the sword, and yanking it into my hand. I placed the tip of her sword next to her neck, "I said yield."

She gives me a steely look before sighing, "I yield."

I moved my swords away from her neck and dropped hers. I held my hand out for her to take, "That was a good spar Serena."

She smiles. She takes my hand and I pull her up, "Yeah it was. You've gotten better since last summer."

I grin at her, "Thanks. You've improved as well."

Our friends came over and complimented the both of us. They were surprised how much I have improved last year. We spent the rest of the time hanging out until the lunch horn was blown.

End flashback

I started making my way towards the racetrack for the race with Toothless and Ryoko. My clones alerted me of some suspicious birds that were in the trees. I decided to wait to act on it until there was more evidence of what exactly they were. I made my way into the stands and sat down with my friends, "Hey guys, you ready for the race?"

Only Silena and Serena were there. Sherman was a part of the race with Clarrise and Will was on standby in case someone got hurt. Serena says, "Hey. Yeah, I'm just worried that someone is going to get hurt."

Silena agreed with Serena and I said, "Hopefully everyone walks away from this ok. I just have a bad feeling that something is going to go wrong."

I turned to look at the birds that were on the tree line. Silena snorts, "Always the optimist, aren't you Tamotsu."
