Wonder Nerds vs Naxie (1/3)

Untitled Part 3

Maxie buried her head in Nathan's shirt when she saw her daughter lying there in the hospital. 

Nathan held her closely as they saw Georgie hooked up to machines and full of bruises and cuts.

Maxie cried in his arms "You said she'd be okay.  She's not okay.  She's lying there in pain and not even awake.  You said she'd be okay."

"She will be.  You're here to be with her.  She may not be awake but she knows you're here.  She can sense it.  She knows you love her." Said Nathan trying to comfort her

Dr Lynch came into see Georgie and check on her "Are you her mother?"

"Yes how is she?" Asked Maxie

"She will be alright.  She just needs time to rest and recover from her injuries." Stated Dr Lynch

"I told you she would be." Said Nathan

Maxie sat in Nathan's arms watching Georgie lay there.

Nathan kissed Maxie's cheek as she cried into his shirt.

Detective Jamison walked in and asked "Have you figured anything out yet?"

Nathan stated "No.  Neither Spinelli nor Ellie were any help.  I think they're covering for each other."

Detective Jamison looked at Georgie and then at Nathan "You must love this little girl if you're so worried about her."

Nathan responded "I didn't get much chance to know her but yes I do.  I love her mother so much.  I feel like I could be a happy family with both of them.  Plus I'm a detective and always want to know why something horrible happened to anyone."

Detective Jamison said goodbye to Nathan, but this wouldn't be the last interaction they would have.

Maxie fell asleep crying on Nathan's shoulder sitting in the chair waiting for updates on Georgie.

Jordin called Nathan "Detective West I hear you're having some family emergency.  If there are any updates you can share with me so I can understand what's going on I'd appreciate it."

Nathan "Maxie's daughter is in the hospital in Portland.  Apparently Damien Spinelli; her ex is the reason.  He won't admit any wrongdoing but I could sense after talking to him earlier that he was."

Jordin "So it's not really your family that's having a problem?"

Nathan "I may not be married to Maxie Jones but I love her like she is my family.  I feel the same way about Georgie."

Jordin "As soon as you can get back we have a lot of work to do around Port Charles."

Nathan "I understand.  As soon as I can, but she needs me right now."

Jordin "I will let it go for now."

They end their conversation and he notices movement.

Nathan flags down Dr Lynch and says "I think you should go check on Georgie.  She is moving."

Dr Lynch walks in and says "Alright lets see if she is waking up."

Dr Lynch checked her eyes her legs everything and said "She will be awake any moment."

Maxie was thrilled to hear this news and hugged Nathan tightly.
