Wonder Nerds vs Naxie (1/3)

Maxie laid on the bed next to Nathan as Frisco left to discuss the case with Detective Jamison.

Nathan looked at her beautiful smile "So you aren't mad at me?"

Maxie smiled at Nathan lovingly "No I am not.  I love you and I realize you were only trying to help me see Georgie."

Nathan concerned "Speaking of where is the little bug?"

Maxie said "While I was talking to the doctor earlier my mom showed up and took her back to Port Charles.  She missed having grandma time."

Nathan realizing he may be in trouble "Oh I should update Jordin."

Maxie relieves him "I called her this morning and she knows you are in the hospital recovering from a gunshot near your heart."

Nathan asked "I'm not in trouble am I?"

Maxie reassured him "She said to tell you to heal as quickly as possible the department needs you back."

Nathan smiled at Maxie "You are so good at that."

Maxie asked coyly "Good at what?"

Nathan smacked her shoulder lightly "You know.  We had this discussion about Nina not long ago."

Maxie looked at him smiling "Oh that.  Yes I just want you to be assured your job is not on the line right now.  I love you Nathan."

Nathan kissed Maxie sweetly feeling tightness in his chest.

A doctor walked in hearing the beeping alarms and asked "Miss Jones would you please step out of the room?  We need space."

Maxie tried to stay close to Nathan but got pushed out.

After ten minutes they told her "He's resting.  We stabilized him but I'd cease any activity that can strain his heart for a while."

Maxie looked happy he was okay but sad because she couldn't kiss her man.

She walked back into the room, but as soon as his eyes met hers the alarms went off again.

She felt so bad about it and called Lulu from the waiting room.

Lulu picked up "Hey Maxie what do you need?"

Maxie was so upset about everything "I can't even go see Nathan now.  He can't be stressed and waIking into his room his monitor beeps.  I can't deal with this I'm pregnant.  I need Nathan."

Lulu shouted "Hold up.  Start over please.  In detail."

Maxie started over "Okay so the other day Georgie was in an accident that wasn't really an accident.  Spinelli and Ellie caused the accident putting my daughter in the hospital here in Portland.  When we arrived Nathan and I were greeted by this detective Named Isaiah Jamison.  He is a young detective like Nathan.  He was investigating and as soon as Spinelli was arrested he already had a mole working for him.  He contacted Ellie telling her she'd be seeing him soon.  He hired a man to kidnap Georgie and take her out of the country but unsuccessful.  He shot Nathan and it took hours for them to remove the bullet since it was lodged within two inches of his heart.  Detective Jamison learned Spinelli was leaving the country and contacted the WSB including my father.  He arrested Spinelli and Ellie in Australia.  When I was waiting for all that to happen I learned I was pregnant.  Now every time I enter Nathan's room the monitor goes off."

Lulu was so surprised "Oh my god you're having Nathan's baby?   Seriously Spinelli tried to injure his own daughter?  This is all insane."

Maxie exclaimed "It's all true!"

Lulu said "Wow.  I can't believe it.  I'm so sorry you can't go see him right now.  I understand you would feel awful if you think you're causing his heart to have problems.  If it were Dante I'd be out of my mind."

Maxie relieved somewhat "Thanks Lulu.  You always help me."

Lulu said "I try.  What else are besties for?"

Maxie said "Bye I'll talk to you later."

Lulu said "I'll kiss Rocco for you bye."

Maxie got news from a doctor "I'm sorry Miss Jones he is back in that coma."

This made Maxie collapse right there on the hallway floor.
