Wonder Nerds vs Naxie (1/3)

Just as Maxie and Nathan finished their appointment for the baby check up Nathan received a strange message "I have news about your paternity.  Please go to the warehouse on the pier where the Corinthos's store their coffee shipments."

Maxie looked at it confused "Why would some random person tell you this?  Don't go Nathan.  I don't want you falling into a trap.  My babies need their father."

Nathan "I will have Dante go with me.  He's nearby anyway.  Let me text him."

Maxie "I'm coming too.   Don't even try to stop me."

Nathan "You're carrying twins.  You're going home.  You're not winning this one."

Maxie "Like hell I'm not."

Nathan "Go home Maxie.  I will be fine.  I will text you and call you every ten minutes."

Maxie "Make it five and I will."

Nathan "Fine every five minutes."

Maxie "Be careful.  Please."

Nathan "I will.  I love you.  Now go take care of our baby girls please."

Maxie "Alright I will stop at Kelly's for a BLT first and then by my moms to get Georgie."

Nathan "Text me when you're home."

Maxie "Alright I promise."

Nathan kissed her cheek then her lips for a moment as they parted ways.

Nathan saw Dante without even texting him first "Hey I need your help."

Dante "Yeah man what do you need?"

Nathan "I got this weird message.  Maxie is freaking out thinking it's a trap."

Dante "Oh speaking of what'd you find out today?"

Nathan "You will have to wait to find out like the rest of the town."

Dante "Alright no problem.  I gotta say that message does seem like it could be a trap."

Nathan "Victor is dead so who could possibly know anything?"

Dante "I thought he was your father?"

Nathan "The way I heard my mother and aunt talking I don't think he is.  It seems like it's some big secret they don't want me knowing anything about."

Dante "Hmm that does seem strange.   I wonder who could've sent that text."

Nathan "Well we are here.   Now to see who sent it."

Dante "Maybe they're being secretive and will text again."

Nathan looked at his watch and texted Maxie "I have no idea who sent the text or why but I'm with Dante."

Maxie "Thank you.  I'm getting my BLT and going to get Georgie."

Nathan "Rest after eating."

Maxie "I know."

A few minutes later "Detective West, you must catch the next ferry to spoon island without your partner.  If I see Dante Falconeri I will not hesitate to shoot both of you."

Nathan "They say you can't go with me."

Dante "They're just trying to scare you.  Do you really think they'll shoot us both?"

Nathan "If this is truly about my father I have no clue."

Dante "Alright well if you think you need to do this alone I will stand back."

Nathan "I think I should."

He texts Maxie which freaks her out majorly.

Maxie "You said you'd have Dante.  You said you wouldn't be alone.  Please turn around and come home now.  I don't want you to get hurt again."

Nathan "I have to know.  I'm sorry."

Maxie "Nathan don't please.  I'm begging you.  It's a trap."

He goes anyway and once off the ferry he steps onto spoon island to see someone he never expected.
