Wonder Nerds vs Naxie (1/3)

Untitled Part 13

Maxie stood there in shock as Detective Jamison and her father barged in shooting at Spinelli and his gunmen.

All she saw were bullets flying and she ducked to protect herself and the baby.

Frisco yelled out "Maxie tell me you're okay honey."

Maxie "I'm okay dad.  Just stop them please."

Frisco "I'm trying."

Spinelli fell to the ground as Ellie tried to escape the hospital but was stopped by Detective Isaiah Michael Jamison.

Isaiah "Miss Ellie Trout I'm placing you under arrest for aiding and abetting your boyfriend in endangering a child, trying to kill police officers, international agents, causing an accident that almost killed a child, and for fleeing jurisdiction.  You have the right to remain silent anything you can and will be used against you in a court of law.  You have the right to a lawyer if you cannot afford one, one will be appointed for you."

Ellie fought him and tried to run to Spinelli's side but he had a firm grip.

Frisco "I have them all.  It's clear" into his ear piece.

Detective Jamison hauled the living suspects off to jail to be put in secure lock up and not where they could be released by the mole. 

Maxie stood up to see blood all over the hospital room yet somehow it seemed Nathan was still resting peacefully and not affected at all by the events.

Maxie leaned over the bed to kiss his cheek "I love you Nathan.  They got the bad guys."

She was so sad to see him still comatose but happy that her father and some WSB agents had gotten Spinelli and his hired gunmen.

Two hours later Detective Jamison's plan of flushing out the mole worked. 

He had set up some bait for this person to try to get Spinelli out of holding.

Isaiah was waiting for this to happen in the shadows and when he saw who it surprised him. 

He had been close to this man, in fact he thought of him as a secondary father.

His name was Jackson Mahone.

Isaiah felt no pleasure in arresting this man except for the sheer fact that he was a bad man who had been hired to help a suspect evade justice.

Isaiah walked up to Jackson taking his cuffs "I'm sorry to do this but Jackson I am placing you under arrest for aiding a suspect in avoiding incarceration for a crime he clearly committed."

Jackson "How could you do this?  Haven't I been like a father to you?"

Isaiah "That's what makes this so much more painful."

Jackson "If this is how you treat me I wonder how you treat your own family."

Isaiah "This is how I treat criminals.  I seek justice plain and simple."

Jackson "I will get off on this charge."

Isaiah "I have proof" playing the video of him cohorting with Spinelli.

After hauling him to processing and then placing him in a cell he talked to Frisco "Sir I found the mole.  Our plan worked like a charm.  He's in lockup with the rest of them."

Frisco "Great work.  Who was it?"

Isaiah "A man I had looked up to for years.  I can't believe he was the one who was aiding Spinelli in his crazy plans."

Frisco "It's always painful when it's someone you're close to."

Isaiah "Well do you want to give your daughter the news or should I?"

Frisco "I will.  She will appreciate it from me.  Thank you calling me in on this.  It gave me a chance to catch up."

Isaiah "No problem sir.  If I ever need help with something big again I will know who to call."

Frisco hung up and went to tell Maxie the news.

At the hospital Maxie heard a voice call out "Maxie it's over."

Maxie "What?  What's over?  Did you find the mole?"

Frisco walked into the room "Yes Detective Jamison found him.  It was a man he knew for years and thought of as a second father.  It's such a shame to see an officer go dark."

Maxie "It's really over?  He's not going to get out?  He can't hurt us anymore?"

Frisco "No honey he can't.  You the baby and Nathan are going to be safe.  Once he wakes up."
