Wonder Nerds vs Naxie (1/3)

Untitled Part 24

Nathan looked over to see someone lying in a pool of blood.

He never expected to care so much but when he saw his mother unconscious bleeding all over the floor his police instincts kicked in.

He had gotten his phone back and called Dante "I need an ambulance. Something. My mother has been shot on spoon island."

Dante "Do you know who shot her?"

Nathan "Jerry Jacks."

Dante "Why would he shoot liesl?"

Nathan "I was trying to arrest both him and Victor but he had his own gun and tried to shoot me but she got between me and the bullet."

Dante "Wow. I will send help right away."

At the hospital Lulu found out about the shooting and told Maxie.

Maxie "Lulu tell Dante to give me that phone now."

Lulu yelled at Dante until Maxie had his phone "Nathan you better be okay."

Nathan "I'm fine. My mother has been shot by Jerry."

Maxie "Get here now please. They gave me medication to stop labor but I'm not sure how long it will last."

Nathan "I will be there as soon as I can. I love you. I'm sorry."

Maxie "Just get to the hospital now and I won't be mad anymore. I need you. I love you. Just get here."

Nathan "I will. Just rest please and I will be there very soon."

Maxie tried to rest but kept imagining Nathan bloody and beaten up.

Suddenly she heard a voice say "Maxie? Maxie?"

She jolted awake and noticed Felicia standing there "Mom?"

Felicia "Georgie needed help so I'm here to watch her."

Maxie "Where's Nathan is he here yet? I need to see him."

Felicia "No not yet sweetheart. He should be any minute though when they bring in his mother."

Maxie "I still can't believe Jerry is back. With Victor."

Felicia "What? Jerry Jacks? Victor Cassadine?"

Maxie "Oh you didn't know did you? Jerry and Victor wanted to play a game with Nathan about his true paternity. That resulted in an almost arrest for the two of them and Liesl stepped in front of a bullet to save Nathan."

Felicia "Oh my god that poor boy. What he must be feeling right now with you in the hospital possibly going into early labor and his mother being heroic and brave for him taking a bullet. I can't imagine."

Maxie "I know it's crazy. I kind of almost have a little respect for her now."

Felicia "Maxie I understand."

A mans voice speaks "Maxie I'm here. I'm sorry. I wanted to be here sooner but it's not very quick to get off Spoon Island."

Maxie "You're here now. Don't ever answer another text like that. That was stupid and I told you it was a trap. It's always a trap with those two."

Nathan "I know I should've listened. I love you."

Maxie finally calmed down since he was in front of her face.

Since Jerry and Victor got away they flew elsewhere but didn't expect to run into a familiar face of someone who knew Nathan.

It was none other than Detective Isaiah Michael Jamison in Portland fully aware of these men being on the loose.
