Wonder Nerds vs Naxie (1/3)

Untitled Part 8

Nathan yelled "Maxie please.  Don't ignore me.  You're pregnant with my child.  Stress is the last thing you need.  I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner.  I figured you'd be relieved to see Georgie.  I love you Maxie.  Please talk to me."

Frisco opened the door of the bathroom to see his daughter slumped over the toilet out of it.

He called for a doctor to check her out. 

He picked her up and noticed a pool of blood beneath her.

Frisco to Nathan "Oh my god the baby."

Nathan got concerned jumping out of bed in pain "What do you mean the baby?"

Frisco got his daughter on a gurney when the doctor came in and Nathan saw the blood.

Nathan was shocked and still being weak from being shot he fell to the ground.

Nathan was examined and he had sustained a concussion from falling.

Maxie was wheeled to the OR and they did everything they could but she was told some horrible news.

Doctor "Miss Jones, I have news."

Maxie "What happened to my baby?"

Doctor "You lost a lot of blood."

Maxie "No.  This can't be."

Doctor "I'm terribly sorry Miss Jones I'm afraid we couldn't save your baby."

Maxie "Please tell me I'm having a nightmare.  This can't be true."

Doctor "I'm sorry miss.  Shall we find out if Mr West is awake and can take news?"

Maxie "What happened to him?  I need to see Nathan.  He's okay right?  Oh God why is this happening to me again?  First Georgie gets hurt by her father then I get pregnant only to lose the baby and now Nathan is hurt again."

Doctor "Miss, we need you to calm down.  I will take you to see him."

Maxie "He has to be alright.  I can't lose everything."

The doctor wheels Maxie to go see Nathan lying there with a huge bump on his head. 

Maxie "Nathan you're awake."

Nathan "I guess when I saw the blood I got nervous and passed out.  They say I got a concussion."

Maxie "You're okay right?  You have to be."

Nathan "What about the baby?  What happened to our baby?"

Maxie "I lost it.  I can't lose anything else.  I just can't.  Don't ever leave me Nathan.  I've already lost too much in my life."

Nathan took her hands and held them pulling her close "I'm not going anywhere.  It's going to take more than bullets bombs or concussions to take me from you."

Maxie "I'm sorry the baby is gone."

Nathan comforted her as best he could "It's not your fault Maxie.  I stressed you out."

Maxie kissed his cheek "I love you Nathan, but I let myself over react."

Nathan "I kept something from you for months.  I'm sorry.  Now our baby is gone."

Maxie "Just hold me."

Nathan wrapped his arms around her as she lay next to him.

Suddenly Maxie found herself standing next to Nathans hospital bed like nothing happened. 

She was extremely confused. 

Nathan "Do you have anything to say?"

Maxie "About what?"

Nathan "About me keeping that from you."

Maxie "Wait what time is it?"

Nathan "2:30 why?"

Maxie "Oh my god this is great."

Nathan "I'm confused Maxie.  What is great?"

Maxie "It was all a terrible dream.  I didn't lose our baby."

Nathan "What?"

Maxie "I had a nightmare I got mad and stormed into the bathroom started puking and lost the baby.  You got a concussion."

Nathan "Maxie I'm okay.  Aside from the pain in my chest after that gunshot."

Maxie "I love you Nathan."

Nathan "I love you too Maxie."
