Just as the doctor pulled Maxie off Nathan a man walks into the room "Hey Nathan you're finally awake."

Nathan "So do all Portland cops check on people who almost died during an investigation?"

Isaiah "Not usually. I just thought I could see how you are doing and it looks like fine judging by the doctor pulling your girlfriend off you."

Nathan "Yeah it's not for me it's our baby."

Isaiah "Oh yeah I heard that from Frisco. Congrats."

Nathan "Is there any other reason you're here?"

Isaiah "I just thought we could keep in touch. It's always nice to have more friends. Especially trusted cops."

Maxie "You should Nathan. He seems like a great guy. I know Dante is your buddy and partner but it'd be nice to know someone out here you can trust."

Nathan gives Isaiah his contact information and they shake hands.

Maxie "I think you two are going to become very close friends."

Nathan "Friends who live on opposite sides of the country."

Isaiah "Maybe we can meet up sometime in my hometown Chicago."

Nathan "Sure. I'd have to talk it over with my boss. Speaking of I should let her know I'm awake and recovering."

Isaiah "Congrats on the baby and hope we can go hang sometime. I'll leave you two alone."

Nathan picks up his phone to see that he has a call "Hello?"

Jordin "Detective West?"

Nathan "Yes commissioner. I'm finally awake. It should be a few more days before I'm back in Port Charles."

Jordin "For the last month Detective Falconeri has been working with a different detective. He's been waiting for your return."

Nathan "I will let him know how I am."

Jordin ended the call and Nathan called Dante "Hey Dante."

Dante "Welcome back to the land of the living Nathan."

Nathan "I should be back in a few days. Since I know you missed me so much."

Dante "Yes we all have. Your mother has gone insane with worry the last month and a half. I'm surprised she didn't fly to Portland to see you."

Nathan "I guess I should talk to her. Let her know I'm fine."

Dante "I would if you want to stay alive."

Nathan "Okay bye tell Lulu I'm okay."

Dante "You got it. Bye."

Nathan calls Liesl "Hello."

Dr O "Hello my son. I hope you are coming back to Port Charles soon. The PCPD seems incompetent without you."

Nathan "I should be back in a few days. I just got out of a coma and I had temporary amnesia."

Dr O "Oh no. What changed?"

Nathan "Don't worry Maxie and the baby helped me remember everything."

Dr O "Oh my son did you say baby? Am I going to be a grand mutter?"

Nathan "Yes she's two and a half months pregnant. It's too soon to tell what it is though."

Dr O "Oh Nathan you just made me the happiest person alive."

Nathan "Maxie needs me right now I will talk to you before I leave Portland."

Dr O "Goodbye."

Nathan hung up to hold Maxie "Okay I know you don't really need me right now but it's still a little weird sometimes. Yes we are getting closer but she's done so many bad things."

Maxie "It's okay. I do need you. Maybe not that badly but I do need you. If that makes you feel any better."

Nathan kissed her cheek "Yes it does. You're so good at making me feel better."

Maxie "It's my job as your loving supportive girlfriend to make you feel better. Same goes for you being my loving sweet sexy caring awesome boyfriend."
