Wonder Nerds vs Naxie (1/3)

Maxie started having pains again but this time the doctor said "Alright it's real this time. Mr West you may view from the balcony but no one else can watch."

Nathan "Are they okay? Is it Maxie?"

Doctor Curtis "The babies need to come now for the health and safety of Miss Jones."

Nathan "Please save my babies. Please make sure Maxie is okay."

Dr Curtis "We will do everything we can."

Isaiah left the room and waited in the hallway.

Nathan followed the doctor to the OR and watched from the balcony.

Maxie was given anesthesia for the procedure and they operated on her birthing the little girls one at a time.

Nathan watched as Maxie lay there out of it unaware that the little girls were so tiny they may not survive at all.

They closed her up and put the babies in incubators to help them grow.

Nathan went to see them but the nurse said "I'm sorry sir it's too soon to see them."

Nathan "When will I be able to see them up close?"

Nurse "In a week if they are stronger. We will keep you updated though."

Nathan "Do you know if their mother is out of anesthesia yet?"

Nurse "No sir I don't."

Nathan looks for a doctor and sees Patrick "Patrick do you know if Maxie is awake yet?"

Patrick "I'm sorry Nathan last I heard she was not."

Nathan "My girls are so tiny I can't see them up close yet. Maxie's not awake. What do I do?"

Patrick "Wait. When Sabrina gave birth prematurely it was all I could do."

Nathan "I'm still sorry you lost your son. That must have been hard."

Patrick "Just when things were looking up it all went south."

Nathan "They were so early. I could lose them too."

Patrick "Don't act like that Nathan. Just stay strong for Maxie and the girls. The positive energy aids in recovery and growth."

Nathan "Thank you. I know we aren't that close but you are close to Maxie."

Patrick "When your babies get stronger and Maxie is released the two of you should have dinner with Sam and I."

Nathan "That's a great idea."

Patrick was paged and went to check on a patient.

Nathan got word that Maxie was in a coma in the ICU and he couldn't see her.

Liesl walked in and told the nurse "This is my son. He can see the mother of his children. I am the chief of staff in this hospital and what I say goes."

Nurse "I'm sorry Nathan. Yes you may go visit Maxie."

Nathan walked into the room holding Maxie's hand telling her "The girls are in the NICU but they are so tiny. Patrick said he wants to double date with us once they get stronger and you wake up."

What Nathan didn't know was Maxie was having a vision.

Maxie (out of body) "Am I dead? Where are my babies? Where is Nathan?"

Voice "No Maxie you're not dead. As long as you fight you will live. Your boyfriend needs you so much right now. His father is here and he needs you more than he knows. Go fight to be with your boyfriend. He is the best thing that ever happened to you Maxie. Wake up and fight for those babies of yours. Fight for your boyfriend. Help him through this hard time with his paternity."

Maxie "Georgie? Who is his father?"

Georgie "Only Liesl Madeline and those two criminals know. Fight Maxie he needs you."

Maxie "I miss you so much Georgie."

Georgie "Fight" as she fades away.

Maxie looks for her sister but she is gone.

Nathan speaks holding her hand "Fight baby. I need you. I love you. Wake up."

Three hours passed by and Liesl walks in to spill a secret.
