The shrill chirp of my alarm tore through the silence at 5:30 a.m., dragging me out of a night that had offered little rest. My body felt heavy, my thoughts frayed, but there was no room for weakness. I moved through my routine like clockwork—teeth brushed, coffee brewed, inbox scanned—each task a small ritual of control.

The morning air beckoned. Lacing up my running shoes, I stepped outside into a world still cloaked in soft gray light. The cool breeze carried the scent of damp grass, sharp and clean. With every stride, the rhythm of my jog steadied my pulse, burning away the fog of fatigue. Three laps later, I returned home with my lungs clear and my mind sharper, calmer.

A cold shower snapped away the remnants of sleep, leaving only focus. Today demanded more than routine—it demanded presence. Strength. Precision.

My eyes fell on the black suit hanging in my closet, sleek and commanding, a silent declaration of power. I slipped into it, letting the fabric mold to me like armor. My hair, loose and untamed, framed my face in soft waves—a deliberate contrast to the sharp lines of the suit. A faint touch of cologne—amber and sandalwood, warm yet grounded—clung to my skin. Last, I clasped a silver chain around my neck, understated yet resolute.

When I stepped out the door, I wasn’t just ready for the day. I was the day—calm, unshakable, and impossible to ignore.

The office hummed with a familiar rhythm as I arrived, everything in its place, as if orchestrated for my arrival. A sense of calm washed over me, a stark contrast to the whirlwind of emotions I'd been experiencing just moments before. Stepping into my cabin, I was met with the wide-eyed stares of Arjun and Ruhi, their expressions bordering on awe.

"What happened guys? Why are you staring at me?" I asked, confusion lacing my voice.

"Riti, you are stunning in this outfit," Ruhi breathed, her eyes wide with admiration.

"I've never seen you like this." Arjun echoed her sentiment, adding with a grin, "Yeah Riti, you look so hot and sexy in this outfit. If someone sees you, they'll be lost in your figure."

My blood ran cold. "What!" I snapped at Arjun, my voice sharp with a mix of annoyance and embarrassment.

He quickly changed the subject, his face flushing slightly, "We have to reach there by 10 o'clock."

"Okay, I think we should leave now then, only then can we reach on time," I replied, my voice still laced with a hint of anger.

Ruhi, ever the perceptive friend, squeezed my hand and said, "Please take care, I know you're bold, but somewhere inside your heart, you're feeling a little nervous. Don't worry, everything will be perfect, just like you wish." A wave of warmth washed over me.
