After one day.
MARCH.03 (In DK VILLA )D h r i t i
“Aju, have you chosen your suit yet?” I asked while washing the dishes after our lunch. Today, we've given all employees the day off for the launch event.
“No, Riti,” he replied with a sheepish smile.
“Great,” I said with a grin, certain that he thought I was being ridiculous. I picked up a spatula.
“What are you waiting for? You’ve spent two to three hours picking out a suit and then another three hours getting ready. For heaven’s sake, Aju, we’re the hosts of this event!” I said, shooting him a pointed look, but it seemed his attention was on the spatula in my hand. He gulped nervously.
“I’ll go and select one now,” he said hurriedly.
“Please do,” I emphasized. He dashed out of the kitchen. After finishing up the dishes, I left the kitchen and found my brother lounging on the couch, engrossed in his own channel. I was convinced he was obsessed with praising himself.
“Eatta—”
“I’ve already picked my suit!” he exclaimed, raising both arms.
“Alright, fine. But where’s my Jerry?” I asked, noticing that our new member, Mr. Cute, was missing.
“He’s here!!!” Aju shouted from his room.
“Okay, fine!!!” I responded, also raising my voice.
“Oh my god! Don’t yell like that; my ears are going to bleed,” my brother shot back.
“Sorry,” I said, giving him a sheepish look.
“Alright then, I’m going to get ready. We need to arrive early at the venue,” I said as I dashed toward my room. Bhuvan uncle is handling everything at the hotel, but I wanted to be there early to assist him. I chose a stunning long black gown for myself—it's a beautifully sexy piece. I’m not exaggerating; Maya has truly outdone herself with this design. She is incredibly talented.
I made my way to the washroom and took a cold bath. Afterward, I applied moisturizer to my legs and hands before slipping into my gown.
I decided on a smoky eye for my makeup, which I thought would be perfect for the look. Once I was done with my makeup, I turned my attention to my hair. Should I leave it down or tie it in a side bun? I decided to call Ruhi and get her opinion. I picked up my phone and dialed her number.
"Hello, Riti," Ruhi answered.
"Hey, Ru. I'm feeling a bit unsure," I replied.
"What’s going on?" she asked.
"Should I leave my hair down or tie it in a side bun?" I inquired. After a brief pause, she responded.
"You’re wearing that long black gown designed by Maya, right?" she asked.
"Yeah," I confirmed.
"Then you should leave your hair down with a middle part. If you let your thick, dark brown, layered hair flow freely with that black gown... oh my god, you'll look stunning," Ruhi exclaimed, sounding even more excited about my look than I was.
"You really need to stop hanging out with Aju so much; you’re starting to talk like him," I teased.
"And don’t forget to wear red lipstick," Ruhi added, ignoring my comment.
