I came out of the car and walked inside Riti’s office. Some of the employees wished me good morning and for our engagement too, I just nodded my head as I straight went to Riti's cabin.
I opened the door of her cabin without knocking, I hoped to see my fiancee but I was greeted by the face of my future brother-in-law.
“Where is Riti? I called her but she is not taking my phone.” I asked him as I entered the cabin.
“Just because she didn’t take your call, you came here?” He asked me.
“I was a little worried,” I said and he nodded his head.
“She is not here. She went to Takur’s office.” He said. What the hell!
“Why did she go there? What’s necessary to go there now? Is she gone there alone?” I asked him.
“Yes, she went there alone.” He said.
“Why did you allow that? She will not be safe there, you know that well, right? Then why did you let her go there? That too alone?” I asked him. If anything goes wrong this time, I will lose my shit and I don’t know what the fuck I will do to that Takurs. My patience level is only the strength of threads.
“Do you think I will not try to hold her back? She was hell-bent on going there, that too alone. You know how stubborn she is, right?” He asked and I released a sigh.
“I think we should go there,” I said and he shook his head.
“No. I had already sent one of my men to look after her. So don’t worry.” He said. Okay, I know Vikram will not do anything stupid especially when it comes to his little sister. So I trust him, at least in this case.
We both waited for Riti to come back, as one hour passed the door of the cabin flew open, I released a relieved sigh as I saw my Babydoll, in her ravishing sleeveless black bodycon dress. She seems more happy and there is a smug smile on her face as she enters the cabin.
Why I’m feeling like she did something?
“Are you guys were waiting for me?” She asked, her voice filled with happiness.
“Of course,” Vikram said.
“I’m sorry, Aarush that I couldn’t take your phone calls because I was busy with important work,” she said as she gave me a peck on my cheek. Vikram cleared his throat, Riti stayed a few steps back from me and went to her brother as she did the same thing to her brother. She pecked his cheek too.
“What’s the matter, Little One? You’re very happy and that’s why you pecked my cheek.” He said. Oh, so she does that gesture when she is happy.
“Because I’m very happy and there is a reason for that,” She said.
