Aarush reflected on the entire incident from the party as he gazed down at the woman resting peacefully with her head nestled against his chest.
"Ayaan, can you pass me a tissue?" Aarush requested.
"Why is Riti di sweating so much? The air conditioner is on, and it's not even hot in the car," Aashvi remarked, eyeing Dhriti, who was slumped into unconsciousness from drugs.
Aarush began to wipe the sweat from her forehead but hesitated when he noticed Aashvi, Ayaan, and Aryan watching him intently.
"Aashu, just wipe the sweat off her," he said, handing the tissue to Aashvi.
"I think she's really heavily drugged... that's why she's sweating like this," Aarush thought to himself, preferring not to discuss it with his siblings.
At last, they arrived at their mansion, with Aryan pulling the car into the porch. Aarush lifted Dhriti into his arms and headed for the main door.
Ayaan was about to ring the doorbell when Karthika swung it open.
"Oh my God! Aarush..." Karthika gasped, covering her mouth upon seeing an unconscious Dhriti in his arms.
"Mom, let me explain-" Aarush started, but she interrupted him.
"What happened to her? Aarush, did you do something to her?" Karthika questioned, concern etched on her face.
"Mom, first let me get inside... then I'll explain," Aarush replied.
"Oh, sorry," Karthika said, stepping aside. Aarush entered the hall and gently laid Dhriti down on the couch.
"You didn’t kidnap her, did you?" Karthika questioned, causing Aryan, Ayaan, and Aashvi to burst into laughter.
"Are you serious, Mom? I didn’t kidnap her! She just fell asleep," Aarush replied, attempting to clarify the situation to his mother.
"Oh... so she’s just intoxicated from the alcohol?" Karthika inquired, but Aarush remained silent.
"Mom, we want to get her to a bed. If she sleeps on the couch, it’ll be a lot harder for her. So I'm carrying her to the bed room," Aarush explained, lifting Dhriti into his arms.
"What!" everyone exclaimed in unison.
"Shh... why is everyone shouting? People are trying to sleep," Aarush said, shooting them a glare.
"You're taking her to your bedroom? Seriously, Bhai?" Ayaan asked in disbelief.
"No, are you out of your mind? I'm taking her to the guest room," Aarush replied, clearly annoyed.
"Oh... thank God! A mini heart attack just narrowly avoided," Ayaan said, placing a hand over his chest dramatically.
"Go to sleep if you want to have the energy for your drama tomorrow," Aryan advised Ayaan.
"Okay... boring Bhaiya," Ayaan teased back.
Ayaan, Aryan, and Aashvi then retreated to their respective rooms, while Aarush carried Dhriti to the guest room, with Karthika following close behind.
