“It’s truly a pleasure working with you, Mr. Malhotra,” Ms. Vilson said warmly as she extended her hand for a handshake, her smile brightening the otherwise mundane office atmosphere.

“It’s my pleasure, but I hope you haven’t forgotten what my wife said about shaking hands,” I reminded her, trying to keep the tone light while aware of the underlying seriousness.

“Yes, my apologies for that,” she replied, retracting her hand with a sheepish grin that hinted at our shared understanding.

“Then, I suppose I should take my leave for now…” she paused for a moment, her expression shifting slightly as if considering the implications of our conversation. “But I’m sure we will meet soon,” she continued, a small smile playing on her lips, as if holding back a secret.

“Absolutely. However, it’s crucial that we keep this arrangement under wraps. I have some rivals who could stir up quite a bit of trouble if they caught wind of our deal, so please understand the importance of discretion,” I said, leaning back in my chair, my demeanor relaxed but my mind racing with thoughts. In truth, I had no significant threats in the business world—my biggest concern was, without a doubt, my wife.

“Don’t worry about that. I guarantee that no one will know about our arrangement unless you decide otherwise,” she assured me confidently, and I nodded in acknowledgment, feeling a wave of relief wash over me as she gathered her things to leave. Soon, she stepped out of my office, the door clicking shut behind her.

As the silence settled in, I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of anxiety about the potential fallout if Riti ever discovered this deal. I knew it was wrong to keep things from her, but the stakes were too high. This deal was pivotal to my plans, a strategic move that I could not afford to backtrack on, regardless of the ethical implications. I had entered into this arrangement with a clear purpose in mind, and I was determined to see it through to the end, no matter the cost.

After work I reached the Mansion, which is in Mehra mansion as my little wife is not ready to leave here yet and I can't even live without her. What can I do? It’s a feeling that wraps around my heart, making it nearly impossible to think of being anywhere but by her side. Fortunately, Aditi Aunty mentioned that I could stay here for a few days, which gives me a valid excuse to linger in the mansion if Riti happens to question my unusually long hours.

As I stepped through the grand entrance of the Mansion, I was greeted by the sight of Aditi Aunty gently cradling little Neev in her arms. The scene was heartwarming, with the soft cooing of the baby creating a comforting atmosphere.

“Aarush, you’re late today,” Aditi Aunty remarked, glancing up to acknowledge my presence, her voice tinged with a hint of concern.

“Yeah, the workload is pretty heavy nowadays,” I replied with a weary smile while reaching out to caress Neev’s tiny head, feeling a momentary relief in the chaos that had consumed my day.
