"Why did you act so rashly, Sidhu? You should have shown more patience," Hitesh said to Sidharth after hearing about everything that unfolded in Aarush's office.

"Dad, I believe she's the old Dhriti, which is why I held her hand," Sidharth replied, pressing an ice pack against his face.

"You made an impulsive decision," Hitesh remarked as he walked over to the mini bar for a drink.

"I understand, Dad. There's a reason behind my hasty choice," Sidharth responded.

"What reason could possibly justify it?" Hitesh asked, visibly frustrated.

"It's because Aarush is in love with her. I've been observing him for a week, and every time he talks about her, his eyes light up. He gets upset whenever someone mentions her, and today he seemed particularly irritated. He hasn't even realized it yet, but once he does, he'll be fiercely protective. You know how Aarush is, right? Once he sets his mind on something, he goes to great lengths to claim it and never backs down-regardless of the challenge. That's why I felt it was urgent to make her mine: Mrs. Sidharth Takur."

"But how do you intend to win her over now?" Hitesh asked.

"I can't do it the straightforward way; I'll need to use some shortcuts," Sidharth replied with a mischievous grin. "I've already devised a plan."

"What kind of plan?" Hitesh asked, intrigued.

"Tomorrow evening is the big business event hosted by the Khuranas, right? All the prominent and successful businesspeople will be there. Dhriti will be attending too... I'll slip something into her drink, take advantage of the situation, and then she will be mine-forever," Sidharth revealed to Hitesh.

Next morning.

"Aju, get up! It's already 10 in the morning, yaar! Gettt uppp!" Dhriti exclaimed as she yanked off his duvet.

"Riti, please let me sleep," Aju pleaded, covering his ears with a pillow.

"Fine then," Dhriti replied, turning toward the bathroom. She filled a half bucket with water and drenched Arjun with it.

"Oh no! A flood! Somebody help me; I'm drowning!" Arjun yelled dramatically.

"You're not drowning; just get up!" Dhriti giggled.

"Riti, just wait! I'll get my revenge for this, I promise," Arjun said, finally rising from his bed and heading to the bathroom.

"Alright, let's see what you come up with," Dhriti said, a mischievous smile spreading across her face.

"Did you finalize your costume for the evening event?" Arjun asked Dhriti while sitting at the dining table.

"What party are you talking about?" Dhriti replied as she served the food.

"The business event hosted by the Khuranas. Did you forget about it?" Arjun inquired.

"Oh, is it today? I completely forgot!" Dhriti said, putting her hand to her forehead.

"I knew you would forget," Arjun teased.

"Anyway, it should be a great night," he added.

After finishing their breakfast, they got busy choosing outfits for the party. Dhriti had already picked hers, but Arjun was still undecided, and Dhriti was trying to help him.

"I think this one looks good," Dhriti said, handing Arjun a dress.

"No, it looks too casual. I want something stunning," Arjun replied with a frown.
