I stared at myself in the mirror, speechless

I stared at myself in the mirror, speechless. The dress, a flowing, ethereal creation in a soft shade of white, clung to me like a dream. It wasn't just the perfect shade, the perfect cut, or the way it accentuated my figure; it was the way it made me feel. I felt like a princess, a goddess, a creature of pure light.

“I didn't think this dress would come out like this,” I said, my voice barely a whisper. “I mean, it literally looks like heaven, and it's just perfect for me.” It is a white net-embroidered lehenga with an off-shoulder blouse.

It was an unspoken truth that my brother had a knack for design that even seasoned stylists couldn't match. Eattan was the one who explained this design to the stylist. The door flew open, and Aditi Ma burst in, a jewel-encrusted box clutched in her hands.

“Doll face, wear this—oh my god!” she exclaimed, her eyes widening at the sight of me.

“Do I look good in this dress?” I asked.

“You look like an angel,” she said, her hand gently cupping my face.

“I can't believe you're getting engaged today,” she said, her eyes glistening with happy tears.

“Even I can't believe it,” I whispered, a nervous flutter in my chest. Today was the day, the day I would promise my life to the love of my life.

“Leave that all, wear this necklace, okay?” Aditi Ma said, her voice breaking the silence. She opened the box, revealing a stunning emerald necklace, its brilliance rivalling the stars.

“It looks so beautiful,” I murmured, tracing its intricate design with my finger.

“Isn't it?” Aditi Ma asked, her voice laced with pride. “Your Papa selected it.”

“Really?” I asked, my disbelief evident.

“Yeah,” she said, nodding. Then she made me wear that necklace. I keep my hair open with a side partition.

“Lily, are you ready?” Ishaan as well as Isha Di enters the room.

“WOW!!” They both said at same.

“You look gorgeous in this attire,” Ishaan said as he took my hand and twirled me, making me giggle.

“If I had known that my husband had a knack for selecting dresses like this I would have assigned him to select my wedding attires. My husband’s selection is perfect,” Isha Di said as me and Aditi Ma chuckled.

“By the way, she never forgets to praise her husband,” Ishaan commented.

“Shut up!” Isha Di snapped at him.

“Let’s go. It’s time.” Aditi Ma said as I nodded my head.

Ishaan and Isha Di are walking by my side as Aditi Ma is walking ahead of us.
