After talking to Sir Gregory, Lockey joined with his friends at breakfast. Several people came up to their table asking Lockey how the visit back in the Summit City went. They all knew that the city was the most dangerous urbanized area for them to live that's why many expressed their thoughts that they were glad Summit City wasn't the place they were born in.
It was somehow rude and sensitive for them to call it like that.
There are far more issues than that. When they asked, Lockey left out most of the details and only told them the parts where the authorities come forward trying to arrest him. He doesn't want to create chaos and he already told his professor so he was fine leaving it like that for now.
Malcolm and Simon started looking out for Lockey when he said he was just going to go to the restroom, but he wasn't back yet after ten minutes had passed. They looked for him in the restroom, but no presence of their friend there until someone said they found Lockey went to the garden alone.
"What are you doing here, Lockey?" Malcolm asked and sat next to him. "What are you thinking?"
"Don't say you regret not finishing that steak last night because you know, we can do that here," Simon said, trying to ease the mood.
Lockey laughed at his remark. "That's not it, but could be..."
"Tell us, Lock. You know you can trust us," Malcolm said nudging Lockey by his elbow.
He smirked looking at them and took a deep breath as he fixed his posture. "Well, a lot of things have been happening lately in my life. Finding about CAPES Academy and the history that it somehow relates to my father, my best friend getting murdered, and now getting arrested. I didn't know what did I to deserve this kind of life... this is too much."
Both don't know what to say, but comforting their friend at this time would help him get over this. Not drastically, but somehow cope up.
"Things might have gone bad, Lockey... it wasn't what you wanted, and we're sorry you had to go through all of those times. But maybe there's a reason it is happening and why you're with us right now," Simon said.
"It may be too much right now, but once you know what to do, you'll be able to handle it without being so hard on yourself," Malcolm continued. "And in fact, you're the son of the fastest human ever get to live, so don't forget how your father lived to fight for what is right until the end of his days. You could do the same thing."
