Lockey looked up straight and he squinted his eyes as the lightning ran toward him. The next thing he knew, the lightning tip struck his forehead down to his spine. He shouted, but it seemed like there was no voice coming out of him. An excruciating jolt of an immense energy surge coursed through his spine and nerves. Lockey felt a combination of pain and a spark, but it gave him more life that somehow awakened something that had been sleeping for a long time inside of him.
He stood up and looked at his arms to see what happened, but it seemed like nothing changed except he was feeling lighter. He looked round to see if anyone caught him, but the surroundings remained dark and silent. He took a step, but he felt his head going around and later on, he passed out falling on the ground.
After a while, Lockey woke up feeling better than before. It was already morning when he opened his eyes, seemingly blinded by the streak of sunlight flashing through the open sky. He got up from the ground and shook his clothes off the dirt clung to him. He wasn't sure how long he had been outside of the grounds and no one had noticed him there. It was probably seven in the morning by now and people should be roaming around the building grounds, especially the staff,
But Lockey then realized something was off. He once looked around his surroundings and noticed many things had changed. The grass was greener and there were more tall bushes on the pathways. The light posts were different from how they were usually looked like. Things have changed and it would be impossible for everything to change in a quick manner of time.
He walked around and found the entrance to the building. The door was different. It had a different texture and there were prominent sculptures of letters engraved on it, when he spelled it out, it said, CAPES.
At that point, Lockey thought there were just some changes happening that he hadn't noticed for the past few days, but as soon as he entered the building and walked down the hallway, he quickly felt how different the ambiance was from the first time he stepped a foot into the building. He checked the room, it looked like a renovation had been made. He was so confused about what was happening when someone called him, a girl whose hair was slick back like it was styled perfectly.
"Good morning, Oscar," she greeted, she even hid her smile away as it was easy to notice she was already blushing.
"Hello, good morning," Lockey greeted, waving his hand.
"You looked different today, huh?" she pointed out, looking at him from head to toe. "I like it. . ." Napangiwi at napakamot na lamang sa ulo si Lockey dahil hindi niya alam kung anong isasagot sa babae na hindi pa niya nakikita sa academy noon. "Well, see you around. . ."
She left and winked at him. As soon as he realized that the woman who called him Oscar was so weird he had to find a calendar. He searched for the library and because he knew where it was located, he was able to find it there, but it was still closed at this hour. He tried opening the door to check if it was locked or not, but his smile quickly elevated up to his ears when it opened. He went inside and was surprised for a moment that the library seemed to be different from the way it was in their time. Lockey searched for the librarian's desk and looked for a calendar somewhere there. As soon as he found it, he checked what the year was today.
