"Hi," Loni purred, whipping her long weave behind her shoulder. "Didn't think I'd see you here."
"Me neither," Omari responded, his hand still on Yandi's waist.

"So where are y'all headed to? There's an afterparty happening downtown. You want to come?" she offered, her eyes fixed on Omari, almost as if Yandi was not even there.

Yandi, on the other hand, wasn't phased by her antics. She could tell immediately that Loni didn't like her, that or her being with Mari was aggravating. But she could care less, she was having a good time and took Loni's little performance as entertainment.

"Actually we're heading-"

"An afterparty?" Malik inched closer, the sound of an after party enticing him.

"Yeah, y'all can go. We had a pretty long day," Omari spoke, clearly uninterested in the party because of Loni's approach.

"Are you sure? It won't be as fun without you, y'know?" Loni pouted, stepping closer to him.

"Ay, we're cool, Loni. But thanks," he gave a sinister smile and walked off with Yandi.

"That was an interesting dialogue," Yandi sighed, poking at his buttons.
"I just hope she didn't give you any thoughts," he admitted, "I really wasn't hoping to see her again."

"Remind me again who she is?" Yandi asked laughing, clearly still invested in the encounter.
"Some hun from an event I was at. Oh, the day I met you. So I met her too and I'm guessing she was hoping something would come out of whatever was going on, I don't know," he shuddered slightly, the thought bothering him. That and the fact that he was openly sharing this information with Yandi.

"Aww, poor baby," Yandi switched to baby talk in attempts to lighten the mood. Omari rolled his eyes and looked down at her grinning from ear to ear. She looked so beautiful it was sickening. He leaned over to kiss her cheeks, which had her giggling like a school girl. He liked that.

"Come on, let's get going. Have a little after party of our own,"

-

"Alright... well I'll get to that as soon as I get back to the office... I understand... mmh... thanks for the heads up, alright bye," and with that she ended the call, putting her phone down and looking into the distance, arms crossed over her chest.

She had a few days to go before she was to return to work and all it's problems, it bummed her out.
Yandi had a love-hate relationship with work even though she had always wanted to study law to begin with. She had a lot going on for her; from being promoted to senior at Minchin Brown&Co., one of the top firms, to becoming partner and owning shares in the same law group.

But in that moment she was really considering a career break. Ghana was her break. But she wanted more days off.

She sat by the balcony early hours of the morning just enjoying the chilly breeze and the sun beginning to rise. The plan was to just forget work for the remaining two days to soak everything in. Then spend the rest of her days off resting up for work.

Once the sun had completed emerged from the horizon, Yandi walked back into the room.

I'll enjoy a full sunrise next time, she said to herself.
She walked in on a sleeping Mari, his chest slowly rising and falling as he laid there. He looked so peaceful in his slumber. Maybe it was because this time they decided to crash in her room, eitherway he looked good asleep.

She entered the bed and spooned him, hearing him groan in his sleep before turning and wrapping an arm round her waist.

His phone pinged a couple of times, which wasn't a big deal. Then it rang.
