A little lime ahead. You've been warned... lol.

"Mama! Mama!"
"Boy, stop yelling in my house," Mrs Saidi spat, arms akimbo.
"But I missed you," he teased, giving her a hug.

"Of course you would, you're the one who keeps missing,"
"I'm home now, Ma. That's what should matter," he kissed her on the forehead.

She grunted, moving to the kitchen where she was still preparing supper.

Mrs Saidi was very youthful despite being in her 60s. She didn't subscribe to the idea of old age and acting old. Instead she enjoyed and embraced an active lifestyle; going on walks with her husband, exercising (sometimes even with Omari) and whenever she had Lauries kids over, she would take them with her to climb a rock climbing wall in town.

"Did you meet with your father before coming here?" She asked, stirring some stew in a pot on the kitchen hob.
"No. I thought I'd find him here actually," he replied, folding his arms.

"Well, he'll probably arrive any minute now," she stated, moving to the oven and checking on what looked like baked potatoes. "We have time to ourselves though, so you can tell me what you've been up to the past few days," she said, referring to his recent trip.

Omari smiled to himself, crossing his arms over his chest by the kitchen island.
"I was at the Cape,"

"Ah," his mother said in amusement. "Was there business in the Cape?"
"Not really. I mean I was working from there but, no," he simply stated.

"Omari listen... I know you prefer to not disclose your whereabouts, but as your mother I just feel the need to know where my children are. Its not to control you, please understand that," she expressed with a sad smile.

"I understand," Omari nodded in understanding. He still preferring to not say where he was and that was that.
"So, were there any potentials in the Cape? You make the perfect suitor you know,"

Just then they heard the front door open.

"Honey!" Mr Saidi called out from the living room.

"You men never learn," she gritted through her teeth.
"Stop yelling in my house!" She scolded, storming out the kitchen.

Omari chuckled, overhearing them talking from where he was seated. He smiled, hearing his father calming his wife down and her shamelessly folding to his flirting.

It was clear where Omari got his charm from.

It was around nine at night when Omari left his parent's house. Of course they insisted that he stay over since it was their family home and he had his room there, but he had other plans.

As he pulled up to the driveway of the all too familiar home, he noticed the lights were still on.
He stepped out of his car and walked up to the door, buzzing the doorbell.

He waited, hoping the door would open or at least get a response. And sure enough the door did open, Yandi stepping out.

His eyes raked down her body. She was dressed in loungewear; a pretty powder blue two piece that hugged her curves perfectly. She was beautiful to say the least.

"Hey," Omari cleared his throat.
"Omari... what are you doing here?" she looked confused for a minute.
"No 'Omari I missed you, I couldn't wait to see you'?" He joked, to which she blushed.

"Well," she tucked a stray hair behind her ear, "I think I should be saying, I shouldn't have been a dick and pushed you away...I'm sorry."

They stood in silence for a moment.
