The doorbell rang multiple times, forcing Yandi out of her sleep. She raised her head slowly, reaching for her phone on the nightstand to check the time.

"What the hell?" She groaned. It was only fifteen minutes past 8.

She got out of bed and into a silk robe, walking down to the door.

"Yes?" Her brows knit into a frown, wondering what confused her more; the large bouquet of roses or the fact that the man delivering was at her house.
"Delivery for Miss Tembo?" He smiled.
"Oh?" Her brows raised.
"Yes, I just need a signature here," he handed her what looked like an iPad to sign. She was handed the bouquet, still surprised by its size, she even felt herself step back for a moment to balance.

"This is insane," Yandi rubbed her forehead, staring down at the bouquet now in her house.

The note was no surprise to her, it was way too obvious at that point as to who they were from

Hope you love the roses, Miss Time Management.
Mari.

"Well red ain't my favorite color dumbass," Yandi sassed, as though he could hear her.

But then again, she couldn't help but blush because of the gesture. Heck, nobody in the history of Yandi's existence had ever gotten her a bouquet that big. It just made her Saturday morning extra special yet all she had were some errands to run.

Her phone rang, speaking of the devil. She recollected herself, straightening her back and relaxing her shoulders.

"Yandi Tembo ," she answered.
"Don't give me that cordial corporate shit," he chuckled. His voice was hoarse and deep, not that she was complaining. It just had that thang to it.
"Oh please," Yandi giggled.
"Good Morning, baby girl,"

Goodness! Yandi was using everything in her not to crumble. She was a sucker for a morning voice and Omari clearly knew how to put on a show.

"Good morning, Mari," she responded, smiling to herself.
"How are you doing?" He went further.
"Good," she bit her lower lip, "you?"
"Can't complain. Did you receive your roses?" He asked.
"I did," she smiled, running a hand over the bouquet, "Somebody's trying to impress, I see,"
"And impress I did. I have my ways," she could literally envision him smirk as he said the words.

"What do you have planned for the day?" He asked.
"Big gyal business," Yandi sassed, marveling her bouquet.
"Ouu, I like the sound of that. Let me know when you want your baby boy over now that I have an idea of where you stay," he joked, he was probably serious.
"How did you even...?" It just clicked. Her old ass was so caught up in the roses she didn't even question the delivery.
"You and Laurie are like two peas in a pod. Remember that," was all he said.
