Earlier that day...

"Good morning," Omari looked up at Laurie dropping a folder on his desk, the bunched up papers causing a light thud. "You have to sign these."

After seeing Yandi call his phone, she had been very passive aggressive towards Omari. Sure, he was very social with her friends, and so she just figured it was because of his involvement with Hadassah's birthday preparations... but she just was on edge with her call.

"Good morning," he replied, returning to the work on his laptop. "You good?"
"Please sign the documents and have them at my desk when you're done," she simply said and turned around to leave.

"Dude, if you have something to say then say it. You can't be walking around with that attitude in the office," he said calmly, folding his arms.
"You're one to talk," she scoffed, walking off just as Mr Saidi Snr. walked in.

"What's her problem?" He glanced back and forth between them, Laurie already out of sight.
"Eh... women," Omari shrugged.

"We have a meeting to attend with Maso and some other people," his father mentioned, looking down at his phone. "Get ready for it, we'll be going at around ten."

Omari watched his father leave and sighed, already dreading this so called meeting for obvious reasons which included but not limited to Justin. He stood from his chair and checked the time, hoping it would pass quickly so he would go home to Yandi.

Thinking of the past few days, he was really enjoying having her over and going home to her. She was everything a man could ask for and more, and it wasn't even about what she did around the house, her presence alone was enough to have him sprung. She enjoyed being inquisitive around him, going through his collection of books and asking what song was playing on his speakers because he was a religious music head and she thought of his living room as his live concert space, he had a playlist for creating any atmosphere.

He hoped one day it would be something solid for them; after an exhausting day, they'd know they would be going home to each other and talk of their day, making meals and two stepping to music. He entertained the thought.

"Saidi," his father called, and he walked out the office and to the boardroom. He found Justin by the door on a phone call, glancing at Omari and waving. He cut the call and walked up to Omari, patting his arm.

"Wassup young man- oh, you are getting buff buff, huh?" he grinned, which just pissed Omari off.

Did this man have a thing for touching people? He thought.

"After you," Omari stepped aside so Justin could walk in.

"Oh wait, I thought we could talk out here, you know... man to man," he slid his hands in his pockets. Omari shifted the weight on his shoulders before folding his arms.

"Yeah, wassup?" Omari asked.

"The coochie's amazing isn't it?" he smirked.

"Excuse me?" Omari scowled.

"Oh, who else do you think I'm talking about, Omari? There's eyes all over town man, I know your little secret," he smiled devilishly at Omari.

"Secret huh?" Omari eased up, chuckling at the use of the word.

"What, you think I wouldn't find out who my ex- fiancé is fucking? So what are you now, her boy toy?" he mocked.

"You are a sick, obsessed bastard, you know that?" Omari replied calmly, stepping closer to him. "If I ever find that you were around her again, its going to be me and you," he growled.

Justin squinted at him, clenching his jaw before Omari gave him an aggressive pat on the shoulder. "See you inside, yeah?" he smiled, walking into the boardroom.
