The morning after came with drizzles and wind. It was cloudy and cold outside, the perfect stay in weather.
Omari was awake, staring out the window from the bed. He sighed, wishing the weather wasn't this damn good to stay in but he knew he had a busy day ahead.
He turned his head at the sound of the bathroom door opening, Yandi walking in wrapped in a fluffy white robe. Her hair was in a neat low bun with her edges laid, she looked pretty.
"Rise and shine," she piped, walking up to him.
"Good Morning, baby," he smirked, welcoming her soft lips as she kissed him. "Outchea tasting like berries, what is that?"
"Its lip balm," she laughed at him smacking his lips repeatedly to taste whatever she put on. "Stop it, you shouldn't be eating it."
"Bruh, why do cosmetic companies make them like that then?" He questioned.
"Its what the ladies want," she said comically, shimmying her shoulders.
"You're so weird dude, get off of me," he chuckled."I have to get head out now, get ready for the day.""That's okay, I'm getting an early start anyway," she stated, pecking his cheek.
"Go girl," he hyped in his lazy morning voice. "So what are you wearing today?""Not decided," she squinted, walking backwards to her walk-in closet. "Its definitely all black so..."
"Impress me, big dawg," he joked, chuckling when she threw gang signs.Omari finally got out of bed, grabbing his T-shirt from the night before that sat on the ottoman along with his pants. He followed with his New Balance trainers, and stood up from his crouched position.
Yandi stepped out in a black bodycon dress which had a slit in the front. In her hand was a tan trench coat and black block boots that she'd wear when she'd head out.
"Looks plain but-"
"Mm," Omari smirked. "Come' ere baby," he pulled her close by her waist. "You look gorgeous in anything you put together, Ya."
"Even basic black?" She raised a brow.
"You play too much, bruh. Black looks good on you. What you wore at Kojo? Hands down the best I've ever seen you in- yet," he winked.
"Mari," she blushed. "Thank you," she stood on her tippy toes to give him a peck on the lips."Ok but forreal now you need to get going. Get your day started."
"Sure thing, Miss time management," he rolled his eyes.
"Don't start, dude," she said with an index finger in the air, " Not on this chipper Tuesday morning."Omari kissed his lady one last time by the front door and sprinted to his car, making his way back to his own house.
He knew the day was going to be a good one.

It was a rainy day in Hoover Hillside.Omari was in a cafe downtown, working on his laptop whilst waiting to meet with a colleague briefly. He sipped on his bottomless coffee, typing away on his laptop.
"More coffee?" He looked up at the waitress, who was all smiles.
"Oh, no thanks. Still half full," he raised his cup for emphasis.
"Alright... nice watch by the way," she pointed to his silver watch.
"Thank you," he smiled politely.
"You're welcome. If you need anything at all I'll be by the counter," she mentioned.
"No problem," he nodded. She walked off and he chuckled to himself.
"Mr Saidi," he heard the chair opposite his push back. His colleague, Lesley, sat across from him.
"Good Morning, Les," Omari cleared his throat. "You feeling the chills too huh?"
"Bruh, like damn! Nobody sent a memo on this new development?" Lesley shuddered lightly. They shared a laugh before getting down to work. It wasn't a long sit in, and by mid morning they got their job done.
"I'm heading to HQ real quick, then home," Lesley mentioned.
"Its been a minute since I was there," Omari chuckled, "I'll probably show up tomorrow man."
"Aight, bet. Later," they dapped each other up and Omari was left closing up.
