"Wassup, sisters!" Sean announced as he approached the rest of the gang. They were seated on a bunch of lounge chairs at a restaurant by the beach.
"Reappears like the Queen of Sheba," Luca remarked in all nonchalance."I know y'all missed me," Sean grinned.
"Heard you've been kicking it with the ladies," Omari looked up at him, dapping him up.
"I learn from the best," he chuckled, patting Omari on the shoulder.
"You don't mean that," Omari pushed him to sit down.
"So, what I miss?" He relaxed on the couch.
"Malik's got some business we were talking about and yeah... chilling from here," Omari explained, casually scrolling through his phone.
"That and you had to be there yesterday while Omari's ladies were out. Loni was a headache but the other one... Yari?" Zion asked to confirm her name.
"Yandi," he corrected.
"Yeah, Yandi. She was out there making Omari look like jelly!" Zion chuckled, returning to his phone.
"Come on, you know it wasn't all that!" Omari spat.
"Small world," Sean muttered, realising Omari knew Yandi.Sean actually liked her energy when he saw her. She looked calm and welcoming when he caught sight of her as he was leaving the hotel. Having her laugh was even better, she had a vibe and a nigga started digging it.
But in that moment knowing Omari knew her put him off. Sean wanted to get to know Yandi more, maybe what her and Omari had going on wasn't as serious, he thought.
After all, Omari wasn't the kind to keep relationships like that, and they were on vacation."Where has your ass been, Sean? Let's get to that!" Malik yelled.
"Well..." he began, "I've been busy," he rubbed his hands together, which made them all laugh.
"Just some shawty I met some days ago and yeah, I ain't saying more than that," he shrugged.
"So we're keeping secrets huh?" Malik crossed his arms, "aight, aight. Well, I'll be honest, I came here for business and got no nyash in the process. I'm not complaining," Malik raised his hands in defeat.
"That is so back handed! You know out of all of us here you're the one always talking about getting ass," Zion said back.
"Mind ya damn business!" Malik clapped back, clearly pissed at that point."Y'all, I need to head out. Call me when you have to meet up with Kwame," Omari said, standing from the couch.
"Off to see your shawty?" Sean looked up.
"You know it," he nodded. Sean mentally cussed at him. "Later, boys."-
Omari walked into the hotel lobby, noticing the elevator doors were closing. He sprinted towards the doors, blocking it in the nick of time. The doors opened, and he was taken aback.
"Yandi..." he approached her slowly, the doors closing for just the two of them.
"Oh hi! Coincidental much," she beamed.
"Your hair," his hand trailed to the braided ends of her large cornrows.
She looked like she was cutout straight from a magazine.
"You like?" She smiled cheekily.
"Baby, I love this," he pulled her into a kiss. "You look beautiful in anything you put together, Ya," he smiled."Thank you," she wrapped her arms round his neck. "It's that Ghanaian glow right there."
"I like it," he chuckled, giving her yet another peck on the lips. They began talking about their day as the elevator went up, Yandi filling him in on her spa date and conversations at the salon where she had her hair done.
Besides being a bubbly person, she was very great at narrating. They arrived at her room and she got in, still going over her day as she dressed down, finding her silk robe to change into.
"So let me get this straight... you don't see yourself getting married?" Omari asked, taking a seat in the armchair by her bed.
"In this day and age? I am good," she scoffed, tightening the string of her robe.
"My younger sister is living it large with her husband and I get to be a rich aunt," she pointed out.
