[Lime Ahead... again, you've been warned lol.]

Yandi snapped out of her gazing when her phone vibrated in her hand, a message from Lawrence checking if she was alright. She looked up at Omari and he too could tell it was her date.

For the most part, he was put off by how quickly she had someone to go out with, it raised questions from him.

Who was the guy?

Does he have history with Yandi?

How did she move on so quickly?

He watched her look back at her phone, pressing the side button to turn it off.

"Your date?" Omari finally asked.

She nodded, unable to form her answer into words. She didn't know why, but she felt ashamed in that moment, bringing Lawrence after asking him to be her date was clearly not the best idea.

"Aight," he said, stepping aside for her to pass through. "Enjoy the rest of your evening."

She wanted to speak, but she couldn't. After all, it was her decision to end things with Omari and yet there she was, feeling ashamed and wishing she could feel his embrace again. She was hoping to get a compliment about her dress, yes she felt sexy but hearing it from Omari just did something to her. It didn't even feel the same getting the compliment from Lawrence, he said she looked gorgeous but it didn't hold the same weight as Omari pointing out how black was her color yet again. Yandi finally accepted her fate, walking past Omari and taking in his scent for what would be the last time.

She returned to the foyer, taking a seat next to Lawrence, giving him a small smile.

"What took you so long? You missed my parents kissing," Laurie giggled.

"What? Are you serious?!"Yandi gaped.

"Relax, it was just on the cheek," Amir butted in, rolling his eyes at his wife's over exaggeration.

It was finally time to dance and Malik played a lot of good oldies, knowing Omari would be impressed by his choice of songs.

"Shall we?" Lawrence grinned at Yandi, and she gave a small smile as she placed her hand in his and stood to dance.

As the songs continued, an afro-cuban song began to play, Yandi recognizing it immediately. People got excited to dance, Lawrence standing still and watching in amusement.

"Not your style?" Yandi asked.

"Oh no, I definitely have two left feet for this one. Also I'm very selective of my music now," He explained.

"Lawrence, you were the king of dance, what happened?" she laughed, arms akimbo.

"Nothing. Some music nowadays is overrated," he answered, placing his hands in his pockets. Yandi gave a tight lipped smile and looked around, seeing Omari was nowhere in sight. Her view stopped at Malik by the music booth and she excused herself for a moment.

"Hi, Malik," she waved. He was surprised to see her standing there, knowing Omari might show up at any moment.

"Hey," he responded, placing the headphones in his hand aside. "Do you need help with something?"
