We walk into one of the smaller halls, near the back is an older man that's seated pouring tea and the man standing beside him is the same one I saw walking past the restaurant that day in Yunmeng.

The older man crinkles his brow "Wangji what's the meaning of this, what's going on?"

Lan Wangji bows to both men "Uncle, gege, I caught him sneaking into Cloud Recesses."

My lips are still sealed but I hum "Hmmm mm mmmmhm this fuddy duddy." I stop and smile hey my lips aren't sealed anymore yay!

I walk over and bow to both men "Greetings, I'm Xie Wuxian, I traveled here with the Jiang sect, we lost our invention." 

"I traveled down the mountain to retrieve it, but when I returned they were not outside the gates." 

"I apologize for breaking in but I am concerned for their welfare." I bow again. See I can have manners, Baba.

"Greetings young master Xie Wuxian I am Lan Xichen and this is Lan Qiren, Worry not your family has already been brought into Cloud Recesses." He inclines his head toward Lan Wangji who actually has a facial response for a second looking at his brother.

I look questioningly at Lan Xichen "He brought them inside?" He smiles at me nodding, I smile wide and turn towards Lan Wangji.

"Second Master Lan how sweet you are, Thank you for bringing them in," I said stepping closer to him.

He takes a step back away from me and I sneer and roll my eyes at his actions.

I turn back to the two men "Can I see them now?"

The older man clears his throat "You may have had good reasons but you still broke the rules of our sect therefore punishment must be administered." 

"Wangji is in charge of all discipline he will be the one to decide." I groan.

Lan Wangji remaining stoic says "Copy the rules of conduct three times."

I purse my lips "Fine, I broke the rules, I did not know I was breaking the rules however the fact remains that I did so I will complete the punishment."

I can see Lan Xichen grinning out of the corner of my eye, I can see Lan Qiren scowling and Lan Wangji is expressionless.

Lan Xichen says "Wangji why don't you show him to his family."

We are about to walk out when I see a white sheet ruffling in the room next to me, I turn and see that it's covering someone. 

I walk closer the others follow me, the man beneath the cloth, there is something wrong with his energy.

I tilt my head and look again "He still hasn't died I see."

They look at each other then Xichen asks "What do you mean?"

"Well when they were bringing him inside I saw that he wasn't dead but his energy is twisted," I say still trying to figure it out.

The man sits up unexpectedly and he has red cracks all over his face and neck I move closer, and I run my hand near him feeling his energy "He's not dead but not completely alive either, something or someone has used resentful energy on him causing his own energy to become twisted. He feels tethered like a..." I get stumped trying to find the right word.

Lan Qiren chirps "A puppet."

I turn and look at him nodding "Yes exactly, like a puppet. Let me try something?"

Lan Xichen asks "What do you want to try young master?"

"Well if he stays like this he will surely die, I might be able to sever the tether, he may live or he may not." I look at them to make the decision.
