Lan Zhan returned Yanli to her home and husband before anything was discussed, he placed up a protection array so that she and her family would be safe. It took more than a week for plans to be made, plans to be changed and plans to be finalized. 

Everyone took this time to spend time as a family and for everyone to completely fall in love with A-Yuan, he was integrated quickly and easily into the family. Besides discussing the current situation, the babies became everyone's main focus. Ji Xi's dreams are monitored by Baoshan but so far there haven't been any significant changes.

Lan Zhan, Lan Ying and their three children spend a day alone out in a glade the couple found when they first arrived. It is surrounded by trees and has a cold water brook running its edge and the glade is full of beautiful pastel-colored flowers. They take the children there for the day, pack food and other necessities, and they laugh and play as a family just enjoying being together. 

The couple play music for their little ones and each other keeping the mood light and cleansing, loving and relaxing. The day is perfect and they feel closer than ever with each other and their children, they pack up and take their sleeping angels home as the sky darkens and the night creatures begin their songs.

That night the couple comes together in near desperation, hungering for each other in love, lust, desire, passion, fear, longing, hope and many more emotions that are swirling around them knowing that what is to come will be difficult and they may not have this again for a while. They spend the night in each other's arms their love, by far the strongest of all of the emotions felt between them.

The next morning Lan Zhan and Lan Ying wake up and after completing their morning routine go into their children's rooms, gather them up and take them into the dining room.

Lan Ying looks at his three little ones with a heavy heart "My sweet babies, Baba is going to miss you so much, you have to be good babies for Zu Zu and Nana alright?" he asks as he strokes each of their backs kissing them on top of their heads.

He strokes their soft baby hair and looks at them as they eat with a tear running down his cheek. He looks at his husband "I don't know if I can do this, I have never been away from them Lan Zhan. My heart hurts and I feel so anxious just thinking about being away from my three angels."

Lan Zhan stands up and hands A-Yuan to Hua Cheng to finish feeding him and takes his husband into his arms "I know my Lan Ying, being away from them is torture but to keep them safe, this is what we have to do. You are the only one who can control Wen Ning, no one else, we even tried to see if your A-Die could and still, it's only you. If there were any other way I would be all for it, I want you here with our children but that's not to be. Come eat with your family before we have to take our leave, lets smile so that our babies see our smiling faces before we go hmm?"

He nods at his husband's words and sits down, takes YiZhan onto his lap and feeds him his breakfast. The mood at the table is strained but they manage to show bright smiling faces to their babies. They tease each other and laugh with each other before Lan Zhan, Lan Ying, Wen Ning and Hua Cheng all take their leave.
