Heavenly Destiny Untamed Fate

Chapter 7

My A-Die finally drags him away and me, Jiang Cheng, Yanli, and about six of the sect youth get on our sword and fly towards Gusu. 

Yanli rides my sword since she doesn't have enough cultivation to ride her own. 

We get to the only inn in town with rooms and we're told the whole inn is booked by none other than my shijie fiancé. 

We try to talk them into letting us stay but they refuse but allow us to rest for a bit, we decide to make our way to the Lan sect instead and at the gate, we are stopped because our invitation was lost.

Jiang Chen is speaking to the gate guard "We didn't mean to lose our invitation, Please can you get your sect leader, This is my sister Yanli, he will recognize her."

The guard shakes his head "If you don't have your invitation you can't enter."

We look at each other and shijie says "We must have dropped it at the inn when we rested."

Jiang Cheng nods "Someone will have to go back and get it."

While we are discussing what we should do, an incredibly beautiful man around our age walks up the steps. 

My mind stops, he is quite literally the most beautiful person I've ever seen besides my Baba and that's saying something since he's a god. 

His golden core is nearly white and so bright it's nearly blinding, he is pure power. 

My mouth drops open slightly, my palms dampen, my heart begins to race and my mouth becomes dry.

I lean closer to Jiang Cheng "Who is that?"

He whispers "That is second master Lan one of the twin jades of Gusu, Lan Zhan curtesy name Wangji."

I watch him as he walks closer, he is elegant, graceful, and even better-looking the closer he gets.

He has a sculpted jawline, thick full lips, a strong straight nose, the the most incredible golden eyes I've ever seen. 

He looks very similar to the man I saw outside the restaurant but where he had a small smile playing about his lips this one has a more stoic look, lacking the gentleness of the other. 

He approaches the gate and several sect disciples follow behind him one on a stretcher.

He stops by the gate and turns to those behind him "Take him inside to uncle"

Jiang Cheng leans to me and asks "What's wrong with him, is he dead?"

I look at the man on the stretcher "No he's alive he's just been hit with resentful energy, but it looks like it's been twisted."

The beautiful man, second master Lan having obviously heard me, snaps his eyes to mine and the second our eyes meet my heart flips over in my chest. 

I can't seem to look away from him and I'm not sure I actually want to.

Jiang Cheng steps forward "I'm Jiang Cheng from the Jiang clan, This is my sister Yanli and this is my older brother Xie Wuxian, Greetings Second Master Lan."

As Jiang Cheng speaks Lan Wangji's eyes move from mine to him but as the introductions are made and he says my name his eyes move back to mine briefly. 

We bow after the introduction, and Jiang Cheng continues to speak. "We were wondering if we could be granted entrance into the Lan sect Cloud Recesses."

Lan Wangji speaks and I swear his voice tickles my brain, in a deep baritone voice he asks "Do you have your invitation?"

Jiang Cheng answers "No we lost it along the way and we are willing to go back for it but it will be dark soon and I don't want my sister to have to wait until morning."
