For the next few days, we spent our time at the arena, he showed me the Gusu Lan sword style and I showed him the sword style I use which is a combination mainly consisting of Baba's sword style that he's been teaching me my whole life with some of the Jiang Sect style and Uncle Pei's style mixed in. 

It's an unusual style that so far no one I've spared within the cultivation world has been able to defeat. It seems that a lot of the Gusu Lan style blends well with mine and we work together to combine everything into one unique style. 

It takes some work but eventually, we begin to move in tandem, our bodies ebbing and flowing together in a lethal dance of swords and talismans. After nearly a week of rigorous training and practice, Baba decided to test us. 

"You've both been working really hard and I can't wait to see how much you have improved over the last week. I've seen you practicing and you are becoming a more cohesive pair but let's see how you do with a live opponent ." He grins while A-Die just smiles with his arms crossed over his chest.

Lan Zhan and I begin to move as one while keeping him in our sight, he moves methodically, sword hilt resting easily in his hand. He advances and retreats a few times testing our defenses and then comes in for a high-low combo that we easily maneuver out of and block the blow. 

He moves in again swiftly and as we parry and thrust each of his attacks I notice movement out of the corner of my eye. I swivel our stance and block the attack from our new assailant, he smirks at me and brings his heavy sword down in an arc towards my head. 

We pivot and Lan Zhan blocks his blow as I raise my sword and block the side swing from Baba's sword. We work together for several minutes before both back off calling a stop to the session.

I grin and shake my head "You getting old Uncle Pei?"

He scoffs "Not a chance you cheeky brat. I can still beat you in a one-on-one any day boy"

I laugh "Hmm we will test that after our year here is concluded, Uncle."

He grunts "Mn we will"

Baba smiles and nods "Excellent work boys, you have made a fantastic sword style, it's solid, graceful, lethal with impressive defensive maneuvers. You should be proud of yourselves, you also move with each other beautifully. Keep practicing when you return to the mortal realm, the more familiar you are with each other's movements the easier it will be to flow with each other without thought. Very well done, I'm proud of you both and what you have accomplished in such a short time, your dedication to learning from each other really shows."

A-Die walks over and puts his arms around our shoulders "Watching the two of you was beautiful, I'm very proud of you guys and I can say in all honesty that you two will rival your Baba in no time if the two of you keep practicing together. Great job!"

We both smile at the praise of my fathers and bow to them in respect.

"Your clothes are ready for you and your wedding ceremony in the mortal world is fast approaching. A-Ying your birthday is coming up as well, since you will be busy with finding the yin iron we will make sure to give you your birthday gift when you have your mortal wedding ceremony. Wangji when is your birthday son, we don't want to leave you out." Baba asks him.
