Chapter 26

Mila's POV

I woke up the next morning. Daniel was still sleeping. I checked my phone for the time and it was 8am. I saw a text from Ana asking if I wanted to grab brunch. I text her back and said I would love too. We agreed to meet at 11am.

I stretched in bed and felt a bit sore. I wasn't surprised. Our afternoon and night was filled with amazing sex. I lay thinking about our night. A smile formed on my face.

As I lay there I felt a hand stroke my arm. I was pulled out of my daydream. I looked over to see Daniel awake.

"Morning," I said.

"Good Morning. I was beginning to think I'd lost you in what ever you were thinking about," he said.

I smiled softly "Sorry. Uh I'm meeting Ana at 11 for brunch. She text and asked me this morning," I said.

"That's nice. I can pick you up after and we can go take a look at those two houses you really like,"

"Yeah sounds good,"

"Coffee?"

"Yeah that would be nice thanks,"

Daniel got out of bed and I watched his naked body walk to the door. I pulled the blanket over me as I sat up in bed.

A few minutes later Daniel came back with two cups of coffee. He passed one to me before getting back into bed.

"Thank you," I said.

We sat together having our coffee's. How things had changed for me. Over a year ago I was living with my husband and ready to start a family. Now I had a new relationship and was looking to move house. My life changed so quickly.

Daniel looked over at me "It's not like you to be quiet," he said.

"Just thinking how in the last year and a half how much my life has changed," I said.

"You've been through more than someone should have to go through,"

"I know. I feel stronger these days though. Some of that is down to you,"

I finished my coffee and checked the time. I still had a while before I need to go meet Ana for brunch.

Daniel's hand stroked my cheek softly "I love you Mila," he said.

"Oh Daniel. I love you," I said.

He leant in to kiss me and I pressed my lips to his and he kissed me gently. After a few moments I pulled away quickly.

"Is something wrong?" Daniel asked me.

I shook my head "No I'm fine," I said.

"Are you sure? It's like you don't want to get too close to me," he said.

"Nothings wrong I promise. I should go take a shower and get ready,"

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I put the shower on and stepped in. I was soon joined by Daniel. We had a shower together and then I got out and got myself ready for brunch.

I saw Daniel come out and get himself dressed. We sat in silence as I did my make up and he sat on the bed watching me.

"Last night was really nice... incredible even," Daniel said.

I smiled at the memories "Yeah it was," I said. I finished getting ready "Please could you give me a lift to the cafe?" I asked Daniel.

"Of course," he said.

We made our way to the cafe. When we arrived he kissed my cheek "Have a nice time. Give me a call when you're ready and we'll go look at these houses," he said.
