Chapter 12

Mila's POV

Daniel headed off for a briefing after we did the media pen and I headed to the motor home. I sat with Michael and he got us both a cup of tea.

I sat shaking my leg.

"You ok?" Michael asked.

"Has Daniel not told you?" I asked him.

"No. What's going on?" He asked.

"We're telling Zak and Andreas tonight. We can't keep going on hiding this. You, Ana and both of us have said it's only a matter of time till other people pick up on things,"

"It will be ok Mila,"

"I hope you're right,"

I finished up my cup of tea and then I saw Zak on his way over to me.

"Mila... you ok for that chat now?" Zak asked.

"Yeah," I said. As I got up from the chair Michael smiled at me.

I followed Zak up to his office and Andreas was already in there. I went inside and sat down in the chair.

"Is everything ok Mila?" Andreas asked.

"Um... yes sort of. I don't really know how to explain this," I began.

I heard the door knock and Zak went to see who it was.

"Daniel can this wait?" I heard Zak ask.

"What Mila needs to talk to you about I need to be here for," Daniel said.

"It's fine Zak. I want Daniel to be here," I said.

Daniel came in and sat next to me. Zak sat behind his desk with Andreas sat on the edge.

"What's going on?" Zak asked.

I looked at Daniel before taking a deep breath and turning to Zak and Andreas.

"I don't really know how to explain but... Daniel and I... we've obviously been spending a lot of time together since he moved to McLaren and you know when you spend time together... you...," I began. I was super nervous. My hands began to shake.

"What Mila is trying to say is that we both like each other and we've been getting to know each other," Daniel said as he took one of my hands into his.

"Well I have to say I am very surprised. How are you Mila?" Zak asked.

"It's been a really tough time but Daniel's been great. I've felt happy for the first time in such a long time," I said.

"How long has this been going on?" Andreas asked.

"I guess something has been brewing for a bit. Since the start of the season. We've only just started getting more serious," Daniel said.

"How serious is this?" Zak asked.

Before I could say anything Daniel spoke "I'm falling for her," he said.

I was surprised but then at the same time I wasn't.

"Is that how you feel Mila?" Zak asked.

"I've felt lonely and broken for a while and Daniel gives me a chance at happiness again. At love again,"

"Ok. Well this isn't something I've had to deal with before. I'm guessing nobody knows about this?" Zak asked.

"Just Michael," Daniel said.

I knew he wouldn't want to get Ana involved.

"Right well I guess if we move Mila to do something else it would look too suspicious. We can leave things how they are for now but you need to understand you have to keep things professional at work. Outside of work it's your own business," Zak said.
