Hays! I nearly forgot. I'm still here at the hospital!
I remember that I took sleeping pills last night. Kailangan daw kasi ng pahinga. Pero ang tagal ko naman yatang nagising.
I fixed myself before I walked out from that room. I felt my foot back to it's normal state. Hindi na siya masakit at nakakalakad na ako nang maayos as I try to walk around the area.
I went directly to the billing station. "Miss, Is Leighton Wajeeh Estrella cleared?" I asked the woman on the chair.
"Let me check," she answered. May pinindot-pindot pa siya sa computer saka siya bumaling ulit sa akin. "Mr. Leighton Wajeeh Estrella haven't yet paid his bills," she resumed.
That only means, I'm not yet allowed to go out of this hospital. Saan na kaya si Tito Fred?
Wait. Hindi ba alam ni Mommy na nandito ako sa Hospital? Uh, I remember. Wala pala si Mommy kapag weekends because she always stays at the company at that time for a reason I do not know.
Paano na ito? Wala rin naman kasi akong pera dito dahil naiwan ko yung bag ko sa Gym. Nandoon lahat. Ang cellphone at pati ang wallet ko.
"Miss, may I borrow your phone?" wika ko sa babae. Tumango naman siya kaagad and she handed me her phone. I dialed Tito Fred's numbers and he quickly picked it up. "Tito Fred, this is Leigh. Nakihiram lang ako ng phone. Pwede n'yo na po ba akong kunin dito sa hospital? Wala akong pera pambayad sa bills kaya baka pweding magdala na rin kayo ng extra money?" I said. Sabi niya kasi kahapon na tawagan ko lang siya kapag kailangan ko siya.
Well, hindi naman sa inaabuso ko ang kabaitan ni Tito Fred to the point na pati bills ng hospital ay siya ang babayad. We got used to this already, and besides, I planned to pay him back.
"Oo naman, Leigh. I will be there in one hour," he answered and after that, I hanged the phone up at ibinalik ko na ito sa babae.
PERO ANG isang oras ay naging dalawa, hanggang sa naging tatlo. Namimilipit na ako dito sa hallway kakahintay sa kaniya. May pagkain naman sa pinag-iwanan kong kwarto kaya nakakain ako kahit papaano.
"Pinaghintay ba kita nang matagal?" I immediately averted my gaze no'ng narinig ko na may nagsalita sa likuran ko. Nilingon ko siya at tiningnan sa mukha.
"Not that really," I just replied to him and forced a smile.
Pagkatapos nun ay pumunta kami sa billing station at nagbayad ng bills at saka na kami umalis.
"I'm sorry at natagalan ako. Marami kasing kaso ang dumamba sa akin pagkatapos mong tumawag," he explained. Well, hindi na bago sa akin.
I was about to answer him when suddenly his phone rang.
He immediately picked his phone in his pocket. "Speaking. Sanford Street 039, Couture shop. Copy that," Pagkatapos nun ay ibinaba niya ang tawag at humarap sa akin. "Before I take you home, may kaso pa tayong dapat puntahan. And I need your help," saad niya. At napatango nalang ako.
I have no other choice. I can't say no to him. Mukhang male-late ako nito sa party.
Ayos lang. Ayos lang talaga.
