EPILOGUE

LEIGHTON WAJEEH

CHANGE REALLY is the only thing that remains constant in this world. Even though how tough the world throws at you, let's just all remember that everything will change. From tough, everything will be just alright. From sorrow, it will turn into joy. From cry to laughter.

And from worst, chaotic, and messy situation changed into peaceful and back to the usual one. Maraming nangyari sa buhay ko. I'd been through worse. Nalinlang, nagka-amnesia, nakikipaglaban. Death was chasing me, but here I am, grateful that I still see the light after darkness.

"Leigh, let's go."

I am in front of the mirror, fixing the collar of my jacket when I heard a voice in front of the door of my bedroom.

"How do I look, mom?" I asked her. That's my mom right there. The one and only Sabrina Estrella-Hedalgo.

"Good as always, anak," sabi niya matapos niyang tingnan ang kabuuan ko.

I just responded with chuckle while walking closer to her.

It's been a year since the worst scenario ended.

That night, Yuna successfully deactivated the nano virus to spread and control the minds of the people. People who were infected with the viral Nanotechnologies went back to normal and they seemed could not remember what just happened to them.

That night as well, the main Lair was destroyed. We don't exactly know why it suddenly exploded but the important thing is, it's over. No more Join our Saint Organization because Sahara and the EONKIE said that Lord Frietz and Blaze died.

We were successful that night.

A day after that night, Santa Luna and the neighboring places were healing. Maraming damages, maraming naapektuhan dahil dito. But we knew na kayang kaya namang bumangon ang mga tao mula sa mahirap na sitwasyon. Some people recognized our deeds and we're glad about it.

And even though most were not, it's still okay because we did it not to be recognized, we did it to end what we had started.

Maraming nagbago matapos ng gabing iyon. And because Nanos dominated Santa Luna for three years, we understand that people would really thrive hard to come back to their normal lives. Yung iba, nilisan ang lugar na iyon. Some considered that place as historical city and a place of horror.

"Oh, Leigh, tita Sab? Saan kayo?"

Upon our walking to the road side, a car finally stop.

May bibisitahin lang kami," I answered him, giving him a smile.

"Kung ganun ay halina kayo. Sumakay na kayo dito," sabi niya at nagkatinginan kami ni mommy.

"Are you sure, Lou Yin? Baka mapagalitan ka ni Bagre. Mukhang may inuutos siya sa 'yo," my mom muttered, and we both glanced in his car where various of goods are there.

Umiling lamang si Lou Yin sa amin. "Don't worry. My father just ordered me to deliver these to San Karedad. Idaan ko nalang kayo doon, malapit lang naman. At saka, malakas naman si Leigh sa ama ko," sabi niya at napangiti na lamang kami.

After that, we hopped in his car and he then started the engine. Along the way, we talked a lot of things to avoid boredom.

Yes, you heard it right. Pupunta kami sa Santa Luna. After what happened a year ago, I decided to occupy the space of the Corteses in Saka. I told that to my mother and she had no other choice but agree because aside from our house had been ruined, we wanted a new life away from the past. We wanted a fresh restart and gladly, Saka Province accepted us.
