The mystery of Saganash.

Hiding in style.

They walked a few blocks away from the Hunter house and Rinus was still confused on where he was being lead. Though it was soon answered when they reached a bridge and the figure pointed towards a boat. As soon as he looked towards it, Max, Sav, Sal and Tess came out of hiding and began to wave to him.
"Hey, Rinus!" They all shouted minus Sav since it was starting off as a quiet day for her, but he was happy to see they were all safe.
"Of course, Kate and Eric's loon steamer. I could have known." He told before looking to the tall figure and Nika revealed herself to him.
"Sal's app is, like, all voices." She told him before Daniel showed his face through the coat.
"We thought to go Saganash style." He added, bringing joy to Rinus.
"Great thinking." He told before him and Nika high fived.

They all rejoined in the boat as to not blow the secret and explained everything to him and why they had to do this.
"Did you sleep here last night?" He asked them, making them nod. "So, you didn't run away, huh?"
"Well, not very far away." Max told and Sav tapped his shoulder so he could read her note for the others. "Sav also says 'we couldn't go back to mine since it would be the first place they look and they would use me to find them'."
"It's pretty brave of you to be out here on your own. Kate and Erik would be proud of you. Tim and Simone were really giving it to your aunt and uncle. And so was your grandmother, Savanna." He told them all, making Sav smile at her grandmother giving the witch and crypt keeper hell. "They're worried."
"Simone is worried?" Daniel asked as he came to join them in the little area they were in. "Maybe I should call her. Does anyone have a phone?"
Sav passed her notebook to Max so he could read what she wanted to say to Daniel, since this was the only way to communicate while they are hiding.
"You can't do that. She will be able to track us, which is why I'm using a notepad instead of the group chat." Max read before giving it back to her and gently caressed her arm with the hand around her shoulders as they all looked back to Rinus. "We need your help. We have to hand the diamond over to Saganash."
"The real one." Sal added.
"But your parents told you not to--"
"We're all out of options, this is the only chance to get them back." Tess told cutting him off.
"I understand. So what do you need me to do?"
"Well, the diamond is still in the house in the safe. We need to get in there and get it back. That's where you come in." Sal explained to him.
"All right." He told, already liking the sound of this.

(Sav p.o.v)

While Sal and Tess went with Rinus to get the real diamond, the rest of us stayed in the boat so we weren't found so soon. Though Max was trying to keep the two of us entertained by playing a bunch of noughts and crosses on some paper that was lying around.
"You ok?" He quietly asked me, making wiggle my hand side to side to show sort of. "You miss your grandma don't you?"
I gave a nod to it before getting my note pad to write my message to him so he knew what I was thinking.
"I know she's worried about me and hearing it, makes me feel worse that I had to run away with no warning."
"I get that. You two are really close."
"Guys get down." Daniel told making us do so and listened out.
"Where the hell could six kids go?" Eve questioned as her and Jerome looked for us.
"I have no idea. Why would they even run away in the first place?"
"Maybe the two adults aren't so nice as they seem. Savanna's grandmother seems to not like them." She told before Jerome picked up his phone.
"Hey Alfie, you got anything? Yeah I'll tell her." He told before he lowered his phone. "He thinks he might have seen two of them go into the big shops here."
"Let's go and help him look." She told before the two rushed off to help.
'I feel even worse now.'
Max must have been able to feel my worries, since he moved us back to the couch and held me to comfort me.
"It's gonna be ok. It's just till we hand over the diamond and get Erik and Kate back." Max reassured me, making me write on the notepad.
"But what if they don't give your parents back? We can't live on a boat for the rest of our lives." I pointed out to him.
"Sav, take a deep breath. You are worrying yourself." He told making me nod and do so, before he continued to talk. "Besides it wouldn't be for the rest of our lives. Just till Daniel is 18 I think if that's the case. But no doubt, we'll have gotten Erik and Kate back. I swear on it."
"You shouldn't promise things you have little to no control over."
"Yeah guess you're right." He told before I gave him a quick kiss on the lips and showed him my other note.
"Thanks anyway, Maximilian."
"I'm gonna let you get away with it cause you are worried and also cute." He told me, making me blush.
'He is great.'
"We got everything." Tess announced as they came back.
"And we have food!" Sal added, making us get excited since we were starving.
"Yes!" Anika and Max cheered as we all rushed to put it in the table so we could eat... though it led to some slight fighting.
"I'm having withdrawal symptoms! And when there's no internet, I start eating." Anika told us before trying to grab some and they all talked over one another.
"We have a lot." Tess reminded them.
"Shh!" Daniel quickly shushed them, making us give a confused look.
"What?" Sal asked, making him wave for us to follow him to the front.
When we all got to the window, we saw Simone and Tim walking on the bridge together, which explained why we needed to stay quiet.
"Anything on missing juveniles?" We heard Simone faintly ask into her phone. "Keep me posted, Sierra 4-5 out."
"They're gonna be okay." Tim told her as they came to a stop on the bridge.
"How do you know? They've been through so much. Poor Daniel. He's been taking care of all of these kids by himself, but he's also just a kid."
"What?! No, I'm not!" Daniel told too loudly, making us shush him and pull him down as we all ducked out of view.
"Did you hear something?" Tim asked.
"No. Come on, we should check the hospital." Simone told him before they rode off.
Which had Anika rush back to eat the food everyone was once fighting over.
"Nika!" Sal exclaimed before we all rushed to eat before she ate it all.
