The failed trade.

(Third p.o.v)

The hunters put their plan into motion when night fell so that when Hedwig and Eugene walked into the kitchen, they were shocked to see dinner was made and set up for them.
"What's all this?" Hedwig asked, making Sal speak up.
"Here you go, Uncle Eugene and Auntie Hedwig." Sal told before Daniel came in to usher them to their seats.
"Welcome. Good evening. Have a seat, please." Daniel told making them head to them and Daniel moved to push Hedwig in. "Do you like the music? Hmm. Sit down, please."
"And don't worry about your rooms. Max and Tess are making up the bed with fresh sheets." Sal told before Nika walked in her pjs.
"Can I go to bed now Auntie Hedwig? I already brushed my teeth for a full three minutes. Then I brushed them again." Nika informed them as she gave a smile, making them think they imagined a twinkle when she did.
"I told you we'd break these rats in no time. It's all a matter of showing who's the boss in the house." Eugene quietly told Hedwig.
Of course right under their noses, Tess and Max snuck out of the library and quietly rushed out of the front of the house where Sav was waiting for them. Once Daniel saw they were in the clear from the library, he gave a wink to the two, making them wink back when they were safe from their door.
"It's all clear, let's go." Tess quietly told Max before they snuck out the house and rushed to where Sav was waiting with their things.
"You two are lucky bingo is right after the garden show." Sav told as she gave them their helmets.
"I still can't believe you snuck out to help." Max told making the two smile at each other.
"Hey I might hate my father, but I'm still his daughter threw and threw." She told before they got on their bikes and headed off to the car park.
Though they weren't aware of the fact Simone riding past on the other side and saw the three leaving the house, making her get a gut feeling something was going on with them.

(Sav p.o.v)

When we arrived at the car park, we ended up having to walk through it and it was completely empty, which gave it a creepy feeling.
"He certainly knows how to pick spots." I stated, making Max take my hand in his. "You scared?"
"Pfft. No." He told, making me smirk.
"So you wouldn't--" I began as I went to remove my hand, only for his grip to tighten.
"No no."
"My hero." I playfully told him to try and comfort him about this.
"There is so much that I don't like about this plan." Max admitted.
"For instance?" We both asked.
"Well, to start with, it's not an actual plan." He pointed out.
"It's all we got sadly." I quietly told since I felt we were being listened to.
Once we moved past another pillar, the phone started to ring, making Max answer it and put it on speaker.
"Hello?"
"Do you have the diamond?" Saganash asked.
"Yes."
"Put it on the ground between number 99 and 100." He ordered us.
"Wait, not so fast. We need to know that our parents are okay." Max told him since that as a key thing we needed to know.
"They're fine, I promise."
"Dude, you're a kidnapper. Doesn't exactly make you the most reliable source here."
"We need proof." Tess added but I stayed quiet for now.
"This is taking too long. I'm going to count to three. One... two..."
"Alright, alright." Tess quickly told before he reached three.
"Good choice. Now do it." He ordered making us look at the parking lot numbers to find the right one.
When we found it, we all pointed at it at the same time, before we went closer and Tess put the box in the middle and then backed up.
"Alright, you two go there and I'm gonna go here." She told us making us nod and split up to hide behind the pillars.
Once we were hidden, we made sure he couldn't see us and I was worried how this was going to go. After a few moments, the hooded figure came out from their hiding spot and I was confused at why he didn't seem that tall.
'What?'
They walked right to the diamond and as soon as he was close, Tess shouted out for us to move and we rushed to corner him. He turned around to run only to come face to face with me.
"Surprise." I told them, knowing they would be confused at there being three of us and they turned back around so they were looking at the Hunters and I moved so I was standing with them as well with my arms crossed.
"You don't get nothin' until we see Erik and Kate." Tess informed them as she crossed her arms, making Max do the same.
Before we could get a response the one person we didn't want to here, shouted towards us.
"What are you guys doing here?!" Simone shouted at us, allowing the figure to run. "You, stop where you are!"
'I'm so dead.'
She rushed over to us but the figure didn't stop and we soon lost sight of them. But Simone also noticed the box on the ground.
"What's that?" She asked us but we kept quiet, making her go over and pick it up.
As soon as she opened it and realised it was what appeared to be the diamond, we shared a look at what this meant for Erik and Kates return.
