Anika sleepily walked out of her room and went past Erik and Kates room. Once she was passed the room, she quickly stopped and back tracked to see it didn't appear to have been touched since before they left for the opera, confusing her.
"Erik? Kate?" She called as she walked into the room to see nothing really had been touched making her panic. "Guys, wake up! Erik and Kate are gone!"
Once everyone had heard her scream, they all rushed to the room and took in the fact that it did seem off how nothing had changed.

(Sav p.o.v)

After the five of us saw that Erik and Kate didn't come home last night, minus Max since he didn't wake up from the scream, we all crowded in the rec room. Daniel was exercising on the floor, while Tess was reading and Sal was trying to get into contact with Erik.
"This is the voicemail of Erik Hunter. Messages after the beep." We faintly heard.
Once Sal heard that, he hung up the phone and was clearly worried.
"Straight to voicemail again." He informed us.
"23..." Daniel continued to count.
"Maybe they stayed at a hotel or something." Tess suggested.
"Why would they do that? And why wouldn't they call?" He pointed out.
"Maybe... they didn't want to wake us up!" Anika told before our little group chat got a notification to see I was communicating like that way today.
"Maybe their phones are flat.... I don't know Sav, I feel like they would have still found a way to inform us." Sal pointed out making me give a slight nod of understanding where he was coming from, while Daniel still counted his workout.
"Are you gonna keep doing that?" Tess asked him.
"Exercise helps me clear my head."
"All you do is exercise." She pointed out.
"And my head is always clear."
"No thoughts, just muscles." I joked making them shake their head in amusement, before Anika's stomach rumbled.
"I'm hungry." Anika admitted.
"Oh, Kate always makes breakfast." Sal told and Daniel jumped to his feet to speak, only for Tess to put her hand up quickly.
"I'll do it!" She told before she saw all our worried looks. "What? I'm a great cook."

The four of us watched in worry as Tess cooked us breakfast and that by the time she was done, most of the food was in some form of a burnt stage. Which made us worry even more.
"What's this?" Daniel asked as I watched Sal pick his flat pancake and it didn't seem appealing.
"It looks really bad." Anika pointed out.
"It's all burnt." Sal added before I hit send so they could see the thought I had.
"And like it's as thin as paper, no offence."
"Much taken." Tess told making me show my hands to show my innocence.
As the four of us tried to build the courage of trying Tess's cooking, Max walked in wearing a light grey robe and was unaware of the whole thing.
"Good morning, my peeps." He told as he collapsed in the seat in between me and Daniel. "What's for breakfast?"
As soon as he asked, Tess was quick to push the plate she prepared for him in front of him and it appeared to be the most burnt one out of the lot. As soon as he saw that, he gave a worried look at it.
"Maybe I'll order in." He told making me give an amused look before nudging him to show a pancake place that delivered that I pulled up onto my phone. "That looks good."
"We have a problem. Kate and Erik didn't come home last night." Sal informed Max to catch him up.
"What do you mean they didn't come home?"
"This is totally unlike them. We have no idea where they could be." Tess told before seeing the looks on Sal and Anika's faces. "But I'm sure that they're fine."
"What do we do?" He asked us.
"We stay calm... and track Erik's cell phone. Here... it... comes!" Sal told before turning his phone around to show everyone, only for there to be nothing.
"Think again." I texted and Tess read out so Sal knew I had said something.
"Phone not found." Max read out making Sal pull his phone back to see what the two meant. "Great. Can we freak out now?"
"And can we have cookies while we do so?.... No we can not. Cause we don't have any, Anika ate the last of them." Sal informed me as Daniel started to work out again, confusing Max.
"Does he always do that in a crisis?" He asked as he leaned in, making me wave my hand side to side to signal its a 50/50 with him.
"He's just clearing his head. How's your head, Daniel?" Anika asked,
"Could be clearer." He admitted before Max got a look on his face.
"Last night, before they went to the opera, I heard Erik arguing with someone. He called him... Brule. Sav even heard it, tell them Sav." He told making me look at him before the others and gave a nod to signal we did in fact see that. "Why aren't you speaking?"
"She doesn't usually speak in the mornings. You get used to it." Anika quickly told making him get a look on his face that he was remembering something, before refocusing on what was going on.
"Do you think this guy did something?"
"They have an argument like one a week. Mr. Bruce's been trying to buy the house. He's a bit of a jerk, but basically harmless." Tess explained.
"Well, I don't understand why we're just sitting around. We should go look for Erik and Kate. We should go to the opera house. Maybe someone there saw something." Max explained making me nod that would be a good idea.
"That's a great idea. Let's do it, come on!" Sal told making me, Sal and Max rush to our feet to go look and Tess gave a shout to the three of us leaving.
"You guys should really eat something before you go." She told only for the three of us to ignore her.
