The terrible breakfast.

I was scrubbing the hallway floor with my toothbrush like I was ordered to and was still annoyed at how they treated Sav.
"Disinfectant. I'd like to disinfect him." I complained to myself before I continued to work.
Which took so long to the point my toothbrush was now yellow and I was exhausted.

As Max had been working, Sal was fast asleep till his phone went off. Making him turn the lamp next to his bed on before he looked at the text.
"Saganash wants us to hand over the diamond in a parking lot." Tess texted the group chat.
"Oh what a perfect place to still be seen afterwards." Sav sarcastically texted.
"And then they're letting Erik and Kate go?" Nika asked.
"I hope so!" Tess told.
"I don't trust that guy we need proof or there won't be a deal."
"Daniel I don't think anyone of us has said we trust him. You just have to keep your enemies closer." Sav pointed out to him.
"Still, it's a good idea. Is Max back?" Tess asked since he was still working when they all headed to bed.
"No, he's been cleaning for six hours--" Sal began to text before Max stumbled in like a mindless zombie, making Sal smile. "Hey, you're back! Finally."
"Did you know it is really, really, really hard to clean strawberry jam from a kitchen floor?" Max asked before collapsing onto his bed and tried to send Sav a good night text.
"We got important news from Saganash. He wants us to hand over the diamond tomorrow night in--" Sal began to explain before he heard Max snoring. "Max?"
When Sal only got a snoring response back, he just went to sleep as well before Sav texted the group.
"I'm guessing Max is back in bed."
"How do you know?" Tess asked.
"He sent me a goodnight message."
"That's so romantic." Nika texted with so many love heart emoji's.
"Yeah. Except he texted 'G noot.', so I'm guessing the witch and crypt keeper have a favourite Hunter sibling to pick on." Sav told making them all silently agree before they went to bed so they'd be well rested the next day.

Back in Sav's room at her home, she put her phone on her bedside table and moved to where she put her backpack she used a little while ago and went through it. Once she found what she was after, she went to her seal collection on her dresser and moved them around slightly to make space before gently placing the old faded plush of the seal she thought she had lost long ago. When she was sure they looked just right, she moved back to her bed and cuddled the hoodie Max gave her when she packed her bags so she had something of his at hers, also made him happy to know she was wearing his hoodies and showed that she was committed to him through and through.

(Max p.o.v)

Sadly morning still came and we all wished it hadn't. We were sitting at the kitchen table and a sludge was dropped onto our plates, making me wish for anything else but this.
"And these are going to be your morning rations everyday from now on." Eugene informed us as we all sort of played with it since it tasted terrible.
"Everyday?" Sal asked making him nod. "Could-- couldn't we get a little variety?"
"Of course, of course. Every Sunday we will add a little raw garlic." He informed us.
"Guess I won't be getting any kisses Sunday from Sav." I mumbled as I watched it fall from my spoon.
"How terrible." He told, making me give a fake smile to it before he saw Sal gag from it. "What is it? Don't you like it?"
"It's delicious, sir. I'm just not very hungry." Sal told as he lightly pushed the plate forward.
"The regiment has a rule. Take what you want, but eat what you take." He ordered.
"But I--" Sal began, making him hit the table to cut him off and eat the food.
"Wonder what they're eating at Blackfriars right now." I mumbled.
"What was that?" Eugene asked, making me look at him and Hedwig.
"What did you say?" She asked, making me look at Tess to see her signalling for me to eat it.
"Nothing." I told before shoving a mouthful into my mouth and try to not throw up. "Oh... Mmm, it's really good."
"It certainly is. And there's plenty more for you to enjoy, Hedy." He told making her take my plate and switched it with the pot. "Eat up. All of it."
I grabbed the ladle and reluctantly had some, making me gag at the taste of it.
"Can't wait for garlic day. Yum." I told them and tried to imagine it was a chuncky foul tasting ice cream.

Thankfully lunch couldn't come any quicker today and I was thankful that it had. Of course we also had Daniel call us so we had an update on our fake diamond. Once Tess got all the information she needed, she hung up the phone and began to retell it to us.
"That was Daniel. The Magpie delivered the fake diamond to the house." She told us making us all quietly cheer as we sat down at the bench.
"I am so hungry." I told the others.
"Me too." Nika agreed, before we opened up our lunch boxes to be greeted with disappointment.
"I'm positive that's some form of child negligence." Sav told in annoyance at what we were being forced to eat.
"I'd give anything for one of Erik's sandwiches." Sal wished.
"Or Kate's special pizzas." I added.
"What about her pancakes?" Nika added, making us more hungry.
"Oh, just think, you guys. If everything goes according to plan, we'll have them back. Maybe even tonight. We just have to think of a way to get past our prison guards." Tess told us, making us think.
"I think I might have an idea to help us out there." Sal told us, making us smile.
"Does innocent, young Salvatore have a scheme?" I asked him, making him nod.
"Well while he tells us this plan, I say we eat." Sav told before pulling out extra containers with some sandwiches and handed them out to us. "Sal texted me about the terrible breakfast you guys are forced to have everyday."
"Isn't she the best or what?" I asked the others as I smiled at her.
'I'm glad I had met her and she also shares the same feelings as me.'
