The trio found Tess and Daniel sitting at a bench, making the three head to them.
"We know it's on a canal, right? What if we just get a boat and cruise around until we find it? It wouldn't take anytime at all. I mean, how many canals are there?" Daniel questioned before Sal slid in next to Tess and Sav sat next to Daniel.
"165. There's about 100 miles to them altogether." Sal informed him, making him give a worried look before reaching for the bag.
"We might need two boats." He told before he grabbed a pen and the paper bag in front of him as Max joined up.
"That Clutterbeak is some kind of mean. When did they start using prison guards to teach innocent children?" Max question, amusing the family and family friend.
"Innocent? You? Right." Tess sarcastically told as she looked at her phone and Sav let out a chuckle.
"He danced with a skeleton." Sav informed them with a smile on her face.
"I'll be having a long talk with your parents about your behaviour young man." Max repeated in his impersonation of her.
"You have Miss Shut-Your-Beak? Oh, I pity you." Daniel told as the three nodded before he sat up straight. "Young man, why don't you come in an hour early tomorrow so I can ring the last bit of joy out of your life?"
"An F isn't a low enough grade for you, Maximilian. I'm giving you a Z-minus. I'm making up new letters to give to you. I'm giving you a Fleh-minus. Remember the name-- Clutterbeak." He spoke as the others saw said person he was impersonating, making them signal to him to stop only for it not to work. "C as in cyclops, L for loathsome, U for utterly unfair,"
"Max stop!" Sav told as she showed her message on her phone to him.
"Not now Sav." He told making her face palm as he went back into his impersonation on his impending doom. "T is for terrible, another T for even more terrible, E is for evil..."
"I can't wait to hear what the R is for." She told, making him regret not listening to Sav's warning.
"Really great." He told before looking towards her.
"What about rancorous?"
"I don't know what that means." Max admitted.
"Good. You can look it up. It'll give you something to do during your five hour of after-school detention." She told before heading off.
"I tried to warn you, so did Sav." Sal pointed out.
"Let's not talk about it." He told as he sat next to Sav on the bench. "Where are we with The Golden Piegon?"
"We'll rent four boats. That's only 25 miles per boat." Daniel informed everyone, only for Tess to interrupt him.
"We're not gonna need any boats."
"Well, I'm not swimming the canals." He told making Sav give him a confused look.
"I'm saying that I found The Golden Piegon." She informed the group.
"Really?" He asked as they all leaned close to look at Tess's phone as she showed them the location
"We go right after school." She stated.
"Yes." Max agreed making Sav show her hand and count down from five, once she hit one, he remembered what happened mere moments before. "No. I have detention."
The others shared a look at the fact he had forgotten so quickly and he looked towards the sky.
"Clutterbeak!"

(Max p.o.v)

I was stuck in the class after school and was doing some work that I was originally going to push off at home, but had no choice. I put my pen down to take a break and in doing so, saw the plate of treats Clutterbeak had left to enjoy when she came back. I looked towards the door before sneaking to the desk and carefully took one of the smaller cookies and rushed back to my seat as I shoved it into my mouth. As I sat down with a mouthful, Clutterbeak walked in and once she could fully see her plate, saw she was missing one of her treats, making her look towards me to see I was still chewing.
"It's not what it looks like." I told her as she sat down staring him down. "I couldn't resist. You of all people should understand that."
"Why do you say that?" She asked me, making me panic.
"Uh, I mean, because you're human and it's only human to give in to temptation." I told her, making her pick up a radio and spoke into it.
"Mr. Polder, come in, please."
"Go for Polder."
"Have you done the weekly playground cleaning yet?" She asked as she looked over at me as I held a confused look over what was going on.
"Just getting to it. Can you please make a rule banning chewing gum from school property?"
"Don't sorry about it. One of my students will take care of everything. Clutterbeak out." She told before putting the radio down and began to stand back up. "I want that pavement clean enough to eat off. It may seem like a cruel punishment, but I couldn't resist. But you understand. It's natural for me to give in to temptation."
She quickly grabbed and showed me the claw that was used to help pick up rubbish and gave me an evil smile at knowing I was going to suffer this punishment.
"Enjoy." She told before I got up and took the claw from her and headed off.

As I was picking up rubbish, Sal and Sav were spending time with me to keep me company as I worked away. Of course they were taking this opportunity to help me retain the information he needed for the test tomorrow... or at least try.
"When an airway is obstructed by a foreign object, the Heimlich maneuver is used to clear it." Sal explained, making me look towards him briefly.
"Uh-huh."
"Max focus, it will be bad if you don't pass this test." Sav texted to our separate group chat.
"Sav is correct." Sal agreed before getting an idea. "I'll show you."
Sal went over and wrapped his arms around my waist, confusing me what was even going on. As Sal got ready to start showing me, Sav was chuckling at how it looked and two girls came giggling down the stairs at the sight, making me panic slightly.
"Uh, no. Oh, he's just showing me the Heimlich maneuver." I tried to explain as Sal started to show me and Sav just took photos and recorded the whole thing to show the others. "You'll want us around if you're ever choking."
"Focus Max." Sal told as he stopped showing it on me and had me look at the two. "If you fail biology there's going to be a parent meeting."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah."
"At the moment, that could be a bit of a problem."
"Don't worry. I got it. I'm gonna ace this test." I informed the two, making Sal get happy.
"All right." He told before we did our little handshake we came up with. "But you're going to really have to study to get ready. Sav can help you."
I gave her a look to see her give me a thumbs up to show she was in agreement about finding some way to help me do it. Even though I wanted to take her up on the offer, I knew it was not going to be enough time to help.
"I think that ship has already sailed." I told before giving Sav a wink, confusing Sal at how I was going to pass and a blush to form on Sav's from the wink and slight smile.
'I seriously can't let anyone else in on this slight crush of mine.'
