(Sav p.o.v)

Me, Tess and Max have been spending as much time as we could to work out what we could about this one true love, only to find nothing so far as we sat in the secret room.
"Anything about Josephine and her one true love?" Tess asked us.
"Uh-uh." We both told her.
"But, I know everything there is to know about Dutch taxes in the 19th century." Max admitted as he turned a page making me chuckle at how he did it.
"Who know, might come handy someday." Tess joked.
"Yeah, maybe if I become an accountant... with a Time Machine."
"You could also win a trivia night type of deal." I added making him smile at me.
"I would only ever do one of them if we were on the same team."
"You've got yourself a team mate." I told as we leaned closer to one another before I saw the look Tess had and pulled back slightly to continue looking at my book choice.
'I hope she doesn't get any ideas... I don't know how I would cope with Max finding out about my crush and rejecting me.'
"Can we do this someplace else?" Max suddenly asked, bored with his book as he closed it.
"All the books about the Hunters are in here." Tess pointed out as Max started to walk around the room.
"She's kinda got a point." I added.
"So? Let's just... take 'em out or something." Max suggested as I saw a look form on Tess's face that she usually got when she was reading something interesting. "What if the door closes and we get locked in again?"
"A) we can call Daniel to open it. B) if that didn't work, we got the vent system from last time." I reminded him before Tess shouted out.
"I've got something!"
We went over to where she sat and looked over the pages to see what she had discovered on their ancestor.
"What?" We asked her since it was easier for her to read it to us.
"Josephine Hunter. Born in the 17th century. She's buried right here in Amsterdam."
"Makes sense, she did live in this house." I pointed out making them look at me. "Most Hunters lived in this house and I wouldn't be surprised to know that the ancestor of Saganash also lived here for a bit."
"Yeah that makes sense." Max admitted making me let out a slight sigh.
"Maybe her one true love is buried next to her." Tess suggested at the possibility. "Let's go find her grave!"
"You mean like at a cemetery?" Max asked.
"No at a circus." I sarcastically told him.
"No, at a hot dog stand, Genius. Of course, a cemetery." Tess told in her own way before standing up and I looked at Max.
"Oh, right. Right. A cemetery on Halloween. There's nothing scary about that."
"I'm not a fan of cemetery's either." I told him.
"Really?"
"One of those, seeing the ancestors before and how much I am so much not like them and never will be." I explained.
'Despite my fathers efforts.'
"Guess we can help each other in this shared fear of ours." Max stated making me smile.
"That we can."
"Max. Sav." Tess called for us.
"Yeah, we're coming." We both told as we got up and Max took the lead and I quickly looked back on the page about Josephine.
'This is not good. Not good at all.'

When we reached the front door, we saw Daniel talking to someone.
"All right, see you later." Max called out.
"We're going to the grave of..."
"My mother and...." I quickly cut Tess off before they also saw the older lady before Daniel, making me worry.
"The unknown poet." Max added.
"Right, on Dam Square." Tess continued as we all thought of a lie on the spot.
"I didn't know there was an unknown poet buried at Dam Square." The lady stated.
"That's why he's unknown." Me and Max stated before we rushed off and Tess quickly followed soon after.
"I don't trust her." I quietly told the two once she went inside.
"Why?" They both asked.
"I just don't. One of those feelings."
'This may be worse then I thought.'

We went walking through the graveyard and Tess was kind of giving us a tour of the place.
"These are all the new ones. The old ones are way back there." She informed us.
"How do you know that?" Max asked as he held my hand to comfort him.
"I come here a lot."
"I usually stick to the recent lot." I added.
"I didn't know you came here." Tess told me.
"Yeah well my mother is buried here, so I visit on her birthday and the anniversary. Sometimes I run into my father or other family members."
"Don't get along?" Max asked.
"Yeah something like that."
"Okay. Wait, what for?" Max asked Tess.
"For reading or walking around. It's peaceful and relaxing."
"Yeah. I'm super chilled out right now." Max told before we saw the caretaker.
"Hey, there's Spooky Pete." Tess pointed out before waving towards him. "Hi, Pete!"
He waved back at us while Max was just confused on the name choice.
"Spooky Pete? The nickname fits him."
"You're gonna love him. He's a riot. Come on." Tess told before she began to lead us towards the old section.

As we walked through the rows of graves, I felt Max come to a stop making me look at him.
"You ok?" I asked him.
"Yeah. Just thought I read a grave wrong." He told with a small smile before we went to catch up with Tess.
'He really doesn't like graveyards.'
We soon reached the extremely old graves and looked at each one for anything related to Josephine.
"You find anything?" Tess asked.
"Nope."
"Nada." I added as we kept looking at each grave. "Probably doesn't help most haven't been cleaned for awhile."
"Sav." Max slightly called, making me look and see him pointing to a grave that was really covered in dirt.
"That could be it." I agreed seeing a 'JOS'.
"Tess." Max called making her join us again.
Max reluctantly let go of my hand as he crouched down and dusted the dirt off, revealing Josephine Hunter on the grave.
"Whoa." Me and Tess spoke as one at having found her grave before Max dusted off the dirt above to reveal Kees Hunter.
"Kees Hunter." Max quietly spoke.
"It's pronounced 'Kase'."
"It's a shared grave. Many people do that, though some graves have had wife's removed if the males were in the military making the wife's be somewhat erased." I explained.
"That's messed up." Max stated.
"Tell me about it."
"Kees must have been Josephine's one true love." Tess pointed out.
'Doubt it.'
We soon noticed another word carved into the stone, only for it to have been done like what you would see in prisons walls.
"Thieves." Max read out making me look at both of them to see they were really focused on what that meant.
'This has seriously got to end.'
We all shared a look at the new clue before we heard a throat clear behind us, making us look and I was thankful it was spooky Pete.
"You guys find what you were looking for?" Pete asked us.
"Yeah. Yeah. Josephine Hunter. Ever heard of her?" Tess asked the older man.
"As a matter of fact, I have."
"Really? Can you tell us about her?"
"Anything would help." I added.
"Why don't you come on over and we'll see what we can dig up." Pete told us making me and Tess smile at the pun he did and Max still seemed creeped out by the man. "Dig up. Get it? A little cemetery humour. You know, I've got a million of 'em."
Tess was following right behind Pete and I offered my hand for Max again, making him make sure there was no left over dirt from the grave before he took my hand again and we followed after the two.
'He remembered.'
"As a matter of fact, just the other day, a guy comes by and says he wants to bury his robot. Guess what he wants on the tombstone, huh? Rust in peace." He told us before he started to laugh and I smiled at his joke.
'This is gonna be a long walk.'
